"Gomen, I already promised someone else I'd dine with them tonight!" You held up your hands defensively as the schoolboy cornered you. He looked crushed, seeing as you had turned him down for the third time that week.

"Ehh? [Name]-Chan, you promised me on Monday!" He was persistent, as many of the other boys in your school were. You laughed nervously, not being put off by the fact that you were cornered.

"Gomen, maybe some other time." Swiftly you moved him aside with your hand on his shoulder, and made your way down the hallway. A sigh of relief escaped your mouth when you thought he was out of sight. This was the tenth guy to ask you out since the start of school. Trust me, it's not as great as it sounds.
All of a sudden you were turned back around by your hip. A small squeak of surprise escaped your mouth as the boy from before faced you. Your left eye twitched, 'persistent little shit.' He however held out an accusing finger as his friends cheered him on.
"Bubun! Wrong answer. You haven't accepted anyones dates, so I'll be waiting for you to show up with your 'date' around town!" The confident grin on his face was annoying you, to put it nicely. However you clapped your hands together and smiled innocently. "My dates not from around here," a small blush was on your cheeks. The boy was even more baffled.

"Then wouldn't you show him around?"

"Oh um.." Shit.

You had literally gotten home in record time from school that day. What were you thinking?! Of course you'd show your date around town if he wasn't from there. Miserably you passed the living room, which had the tv on. You felt the weight of a thousand planets drop on your shoulders when you realised that you would have to dress up tonight and also that you would miss your favorite Tv show.

"Worst Friday ever," you grumbled to yourself at the bottom of the stairs. A clash came from the kitchen on your left, and a familiar face popped out.
"Worst?" Your cousin enquired. Immediately your eyes lit up.

"Kou! How do you feel about pretending to be my date to get a perv off my back?" You fell on your knees and clutched onto your cousins shirt. Kou was baffled. His tousled brown hair was wild as a result from extreme cooking. He scratched the back of his head thoughtfully before glancing back into the empty kitchen. You tightened your grip on his shirt, and he sighed.

"Got it. But I have deliveries tonight."

"Kou~!"

Two hours later you stood in front of the towns central plaza, all dressed up. One of Kou's conditions included that you dressed as he decided, and you felt like an idiot. 'Only someone desperate would agree to his terms,' you sighed. Your skirt blew in the wind, and you clutched it down out of panic. It was a light pink and ruffled. Your tee was baggy, and lavender with a slit going down the colar. Underneath that was a tight, dark pink, long sleeved shirt. On top of that Kou had picked a white satchel bag, and white flats. Frankly, you had forgotten half of those clothes existed. 'And why does he have such good taste?' You pouted, then froze. 'Why DOES Kou have good taste?!'

"[Name]!" Kou called from your left. You turned to see him walking over in some jeans and a long sleeved shirt. "Yo." He greeted with a grin when he reached you. Although his grin disappeared when he noticed you glaring.
"I can't believe you, the master of turning up late, is here before that perv! You have deliveries in twenty minutes!" You clutched the strap of your bag with fists, anger radiated off you fiercely. Kou laughed nervously.
"Don't worry, he'll see you with me."

Ten minutes had passed, and you were sitting on the fountain beside Kou. He was trying to talk to you, but you were too angry to make sense of the meaningless conversation. Eventually another five minutes passed, and Kou stood up.

"Gomen, I have to leave now if I want to get to work in time." Kou was apologetic, even though it wasn't his fault. "You have a house key, right?"
Your cousin placed his hand on your shoulder, but you didn't look at him. Kou sighed, before turning and walking away. The sun was still out, it was five fourty pm. The plaza was still busy, with several shops open. You stood up, deciding to make it home in time for your favourite TV show after all. But of course, life was not that simple.

"[Name]-Chan should be here with her date, we've looked everywhere but here." The persistent boy was back. You glanced over your shoulder to see him and two of his friends on the other side of the fountain. 'Son of a gun.' He slammed his hand down in the middle of their group huddle. "Split!"
This was bad. It was three versus one, but you still had the advantage. Maybe if they didn't see you..
"Ren, I think I see her!"
You just had to keep jinxing yourself.
"Really? Get her!"

You dove into the crowd, and slipped past people. A voice raised above the others, and it wasn't one you recognised. Thankfully though, it was your ticket out of this sticky situation. Ren and his friends footsteps and grumblings were getting closer by the second. You jumped out of the crowd, and latched onto the body of the voices arm.

"Hisoka! I told you I had a date. Gon's not here." A mass of silver hair greeted your face. It smelled like caramel..but something else. Slowly the hair began to turn, and its owner came into view. It was the boy whos voice stood out more than the rest!
He flashed you a grin and a wink, both lightning quick. His eyes were a mixture of dark blue and sea blue. Although you were willing to bet there was more to it than that.
"See, here she is now. Now leave us alone, you perv," the silverett continued his previous talk towards the man you couldn't see. With a dry comment the man walked away, and you gently let go of his arm.

"Liste-" you began to try and talk to him before Ren appeared.

"[Name], is this your date?!" His friends were on either side of you. And slowly you turned to face him. Literally, you had just had enough of him. The name you had made for him was on the tip of your tongue, 'Persistent little shit.' But you had to keep your calm and not freak out. You clutched your bag strap and tried to form a sentence.

"Ano.."

"I am, whats it to you?" The silverett wrapped his arm around your shoulders and pulled you closer to his side. You froze up as warmth hit your side, and stared at the ground. Ren stepped forward however.

"I've been asking this girl out for over a week already! How come you're more important than me to get your first date with her like that?" Ren didn't look like he was about to cry. Infact, he looked like he was about to murder your savior. You lifted your head.
"You persi-" However the silverett placed a confident hand up to silence you. He smirked at Ren.
"Who says this is my first date with [Name]?" Your savior really was a genius. Rens friends were speechless, and glanced back and forth about ten times before Ren replied.

"Prove it!"

In the fraction of a second the Silverett grinned, and shrugged like it was no big deal. You were freaking out, how the hell do you prove something like that? 'What is he thinking..' You looked up at the boy holding you to see him looking right back down at you with a small smile.
'Is he for real'
Slowly the boy began to lean down, and pulled you closer to him with the arm that was around your shoulders.
'I'm gonna kick his ass.'
His lips were millimetres away from yours, and his warm breath tickled your lips. Nervously you placed a hand on his shoulder, and leaned towards him.
'Motherfucker stole my first kiss.'
