Maximus.

That's the spirit wolf Goddess Selene has given to me. She said to me that when I call his name, the wolf will come to me and aid to whatever help I need. Of course, like a werewolf, I can hear his words, his thoughts, and his feelings. We can communicate through mind-link, and since I'm mated to a Guardian, it's best if I can mind-link with them, too.

Pretty much everyone is still shocked that they have seen a Goddess. Chanteloupe, the head Elder, noted that it's the first time in history that a Goddess has made herself known and seen. And the fact that she sided with me and used my body as a host deems how special I am to the werewolf community.

When Selene gave me the wolf, she only spoke in my head. The others are unaware that I can now call on a certain wolf to help us. To be honest, this feels surreal, too much for me, but at the same time, I'm excited. This means that I can, in no time, relate how a werewolf community works. I can finally feel what they feel when they call onto their wolves to help them fight.

After the fight with Diamonas, Selene admitted to me that she merely vanished him but she didn't kill him. Apparently that is a battle reserved for Kieran and Diamonas. It's up to Kieran to decide Diamonas' fate when he battles with him. But she believes that there's some good left in Diamonas as he was once a child of the moon.

"Baby," Marcus wraps his arms around me and I lean into his touch, sighing in contentment as he places a chaste kiss on my cheek. "You were so awesome back there."

"I know," I muse, grinning at him. "My parents wouldn't believe this shit."

I tiptoe and give him a peck on the lips. I'd never get used to having his lips on mine, but he can sure as hell put them on my lips anytime he wants and for long he wants to kiss me. I wouldn't mind that. He smiles at me and my heart swells. Just seeing him smile at me like that is enough to send me into overdrive; it makes me crazy; it makes me breathless.

"Do you want to stay for dinner?" he asks me, his eyes hopeful. As much as I want to stay with him, I can't. I need to go home. My parents are already home; they may not be around always but I have a huge impact on their lives and they love me to death. I'm sure they're worrying themselves. He must have realized the conflicted expression on my face as his face falls but he smiles in a second. "Then at least let me take you home. I can't have my mate wandering around all alone." He lets out a chuckle and I punch his chest lightly, to which he feigns hurt. I roll my eyes playfully at him.

The Great Alpha has discussed the preventive measures when in danger, and how sorry he is for not being able to detect that someone is in the safe room with us. Everyone agreed that it's not his fault, and that there are things he can't deal on his own. He may be a Great Alpha, but that doesn't make him immune to committing mistakes. Everyone also agreed that if it weren't for me, their Luna's life, which is Kieran, would have been in great danger and that's something the Great Alpha can't take. Cloud has decided that he will have to get help from the other worlds.

Marcus holds my hand out and together we walk through the forest after I bid good night to my second family. Yes, I have come to realize that they are close to my hearts and I would do anything just to fit in with them. Marcus loves his pack, and I'm loving it too. I may not like it at first, but that has changed long time ago.

We're still visible around the area and Marcus looks at them one more time, mind-linking the others that he will take me home. Cloud looks at our way and waves, as well as Kieran and Dave. I halt to a stop, biting my lower lip, deciding whether it's time to call Maximus. I want to see it for myself, and I sure as hell want Marcus and the entire pack to see my wolf that has been given to me by the Good Goddess. I halt to a stop and Marcus looks at me with a confused expression.
