Chapter 7

A/N: So I am going to do a Lucas POV this chapter. I might do half and half. Half Lucas and half Maya. Thanks for your comments on the last chapter. :)

Lucas POV

Maya Hart. I haven't seen her in 8 years so imagine my shock when I walked into the law firm and there she was sitting in my new bosses office. She's changed a lot since I saw her last and in a good way. Her face now has a more mature look to it. She doesn't look baby faced anymore and those blue eyes of hers are to die for. Even though I'm dating Maddie, I won't lie that Maya is hotter than fuck. Finding out that I have an 8 year old daughter with her came as an absolute shock to me. While I was calm when Maya told me about our daughter I was internally freaking the hell out. Once we got back to the firm and into our own offices I called Farkle immediately and told him everything. He told me that Riley told him yesterday about it and that he didn't say anything to me since Maya planned on telling me today. I could have been annoyed with him but I wasn't because he said the reason he knew is that Maya was worried about how I would react to the news and Riley told him about it to find that out. I couldn't blame Maya for that or Riley for reaching out to my brother. Had he kept it longer I would have been pissed though. Today Farkle and Aleah got back into town from visiting our parents in NYC. I didn't go with them this time around since I had just been there. I allowed Farkle to tell them about Braelynn. They were shocked but understanding, happy and excited about having another Granddaughter. After Farkle and Leah got home she went to unpack her things and Farkle stayed back to visit with me. He knew Maya was bringing Braelynn over yesterday.

"So how did it go yesterday?" Farkle said as he sat down beside me.

"It went really well." I replied. "My daughter is beautiful Fark. "

"I'm so glad it went well. I'm excited to get to know her." he smiled.

"You know whats weird though?" I said to him.

"What?" he asked me.

"Maya seemed almost pissed off when she found out about Madison." I replied.

"Why do you think that?" Farkle asked. "And how'd she find out about Maddie."

"Because Braelynn asked me to come watch her Gymnastics practice on Tuesday which is a night I had plans with Maddie. I replied. " So when I mentioned that I'd have to cancel my plans with a girl that I've been seeing Maya got a really annoyed look on her face."

Farkle smiled at me "Do you think its possible that Maya likes you?" he asked as he sat down beside me.

"I mean its possible but I really don't think that's it. Maya and I never dated in college. We only studied together and that one night happened." I replied.

"I know but maybe she formed a crush on you during that time and it came back once she saw you again." Farkle suggested.

"I don't know. I'm kind of thinking its because she's protective of our kid. She seems to have rules in place that she wants me to follow." I replied.

"I'm not saying she's in love with you but Lucas any girl I have dated has asked me if you are single because they think you're hot so to me its not that far off to think Maya is attracted to you. " he replied and he did make a piont.

"That's true." I replied.

"I can't believe you have a kid." Farkle chuckled as he put his feet up on the table.

"Same. It's crazy. But Farkle she is amazing. She's so smart, and beautiful. I see a lot of my mom in her." I replied.

"I can't wait to spend more time with her. Do you think Maya will allow her to come visit?" Farkle asked.
