11. births and rebirths

"As soon as you leave the house the wolves will be on you." Jacob argues Carlisle's plan to go hunt.

"I'll need the strength to help Bella." Carlisle explains gently. "I'll take Esme, Emmett and Rosalie with me."

"No." Is the immediate response of the blonde.

"Rose..." Emmett begins but is cut of by a stubborn blonde. "No." She hisses with it this time.

"I'll distract the wolves for as long as I can." Jacob assures. Before jogging out.

Not long after Esme, Emmett and Carlisle leave too.

Bella looks way better now, you could almost say she looks healthy. Her eyes have regaind there lively sparkle, her cheeks are rose and her bones aren't as visible anymore. Edward looks more alive again too, since he has discovered he can read the things mind.

Me? I'm still walking with huge dark circles under my eyes but yeah I look happier, all Alice's doing of course. She manages to make me forget I might lose my sister, well sometimes anyway. Jake say the mischievous sparkle is back in my eyes, whatever that might mean. I helped him with some of his jokes about blondes behind Rosalies back, shh don't tell her that.

Edward smirks at my thoughts already knowing I helped. Nothing can be a secret from him.

I fill my thoughts with Alice just to annoy him sometimes. It's funny.

"No it's not." He argues my thoughts.

"Hell yes it is. You should see your face. O wait." I argue back. I think about his expression as he hears my thoughts about Alice.

"I do not look like that." He denies stubbornly.

"Not again." The four remaining in the room groan.

The last few days me and Edward began forming a bond, by bickering. It's weird I know. The rest of the family finds it amusing.

"You do." I argue back.

"Okay time to feed the human. Come on Nessa." Alice interjects our bickering pulling me to the kitchen.

"I know you secretly love it when I annoy Eddie." I say smiling at the beauty that is now working on making me food in the kitchen.

She rolls her eyes but can't keep a smile from grazing her perfectly sculpted lips.

"She does." Jasper laughs as he walks by.

"Knew it." I state as she sets a plate of macaroni in front of me.

I take the first bite of the amazingly good food moaning. "I'm still amazed by how someone who doesn't eat can make such a godly tasting food." I commend.

"Now you're just blabbing." She deflects.

"No I'm serious. If you guys would open a restaurant it would have 5 stars in no time." She raises an eyebrow at that.

"Five stars is the highest ranking right?" I question not actually knowing.

"I have no idea." She laughs.

"Oh, inform the authorities. I have discovered something Alice Cullen doesn't know." I joke.

She nudges me slightly. I pretend to choke on my food but get no response. "Babe I know you're pretending, I see the future remember."

"Boo you suck." I say pouting.

"Oh do I?" She questions leaning closer.

My heartbeat picks up a little. "Yep you do."
