☆ CHAPTER TEN: CODE BREAKER!
CHRIS ARGENT pressed down harshly onto the car horn, causing Scott to spring up from on top of the two cars and jump over the school bus that Allison was stood inside.
Scarlett leaned back into Jackson as the horror of the real world had finally pulled the last straw, tears streaming down from her eyes as she stared at her mother and uncle in the two vehicles.
Allison pushed open the bus door, stumbling out as her father caught her in his arms, whispering, "Your okay, your okay, baby." into her ear for comfort.
Kate climbed out from her car, making her way over to her sobbing daughter as she cried into the lacrosse co-captains shoulder while he wrapped his arms securely around her waist. She pulled her from his arms, allowing her to fling them around her own shoulders.
"I think it's best if you go back to the dance, Jackson." Kate told the boy who stood staring at the pair.
Shaking his head, Jackson refused the offer, "No, I can't just leave her."
"She'll be fine, Jackson, she's just in shock." Kate mentally rolled her eyes at the boys overprotective behaviour. Although, she too was the same when it came to Scarlett.
Scarlett lifted her head off her mother's shoulder, looking back at her boyfriend with a short nod to tell him that it was okay for him to leave.
As he realised that he wouldn't be winning this battle, Jackson let out a sigh before saying, "You will look after her, right?"
The older Argent nodded, "She's my daughter, of course I will."
After pressing a sweet kiss onto the girl's forehead, Jackson wondered back off into the school, looking back every few seconds as he left. When the boy was out of sight, Scarlett allowed more tears to escape her eyes as she hugged her mother tightly.

"ALRIGHT, THAT'S you all done," Victoria Argent announced as she finished packing everything into her niece's suitcase, turning back to her with her hand reaching out to her like a mother helping her child cross the road, "Come, sweetie, let's go get Allison all packed."
Scarlett took her Aunt's hand, allowing her to guide her into Allison's room through her blurred vision.
She took a seat next to Allison on the girl's bed, the two moving closer together for both warmth and comfort.
"I'm not sure how long you'll be," Victoria said as she searched through her daughter's wardrobe, "You want me to pick out anything specific. Sweetheart?" She added when she didn't get a reply.
"I just saw my boyfriend turn into a werewolf." Was all she could spit out.
"All right. I'll grab some things myself." Victoria chuckled.
