火と氷 [lobey x checkmate]

Checkmate opened her eyes slowly, she had fallen asleep while staring out the window. She looked over at the table and noticed lore and orbit were just heading out. "Where's gold?" She whispered. Suddenly she heard lobey's voice. Her eyes opened fully and slid herself enough to sit in front of the couch. She smiled and tilted her head "are you alright? You scared me half to death." She said. Lobey scrambled to sit and then rubbed the top of his head. He opened his mouth to say something but was interrupted by checkmate, who jumped up and hugged him. She sat there for a second and then noticed what she just did, falling onto her back and becoming a literally ice cube. She was completely frozen.
