What was he going to do?! If they finished the project Monday, he'd have no reason to talk to her, he'd have no opportunity to make her laugh, he'd never get that weird feeling in his chest.

"Oh God! I think I'm having a panic attack!" Jake cried out loud. How did you tell if you were having a panic attack? What are you meant to do? He didn't have a paper bag in his room. Could people die from panic attacks? He'd never heard of anyone dying from one, but that didn't mean it couldn't happen. Plus, no one would know the cause of it, so he'd just be that guy that died for no reason, alone in his room. His parents wouldn't find his body for days probably, because they knew of the consequences of disobeying his DO NOT ENTER sign. He should take the sign off! That's it! If he could just get the sign off the door, everything would be fine...except he'd still die of a panic attack.
