As Ariel came to she cried out in pain. Reaching behind her she felt for what was no longer there, her wings. Torn out by those she loved most, her own brothers! What hurt her more was the fact that her favorite brother, Gabriel, the one she felt she could go to with anything, had literally disowned her and thrown her out of heaven ! Looking down at her now blood soaked fingers she sobbed. "How could they? My own family!" She wanted to be angry but all she felt was devastation and loss.
This was her own fault, she had broken a major rule. She had fallen in love. The matter was not about who but of what, a vampire! She had watched the young man for months now from heaven. She thought of his face, his bright green eyes, his melancholic smile.... "Peter..." she whisper his name, she had been cast out of heaven for him.
Ariel thought back on when her feelings were discovered, her brothers were furious! How could she, an angel love such a creature as Peter Bartholy? She argued with Gabriel and Raphael that while she knew it was wrong to feel what she did for Peter, it didn't matter since they would never meet. Ariel let out I tired laugh before adding "Besides it's not up to God messenger boy to say how I should or should not feel!" Gabriels hand hadn't moved so quick in centuries, she gasped as it made contact with her cheek knocking her to the ground!
Raphael quickly moved between them before Ariel could retaliate. "Easy brother, there is no need for such violence!" Enraged even more by the interference Gabriel shoved him away and charged at Ariel again! Only she was ready for him this time. As he got close enough Ariel blocked his arm with her own using her other hand she punched Gabriels abdomen. As he gasped for breath she looked at him "Gabriel please .....don't make me fight you."
It was Raphael who spoke up next "Ariel you started this, it can end if you swear to forget about that....thing! We can act as if this never happened, isn't that right Gabriel?" Gabriel looked up into his sisters eyes pleading " Please you are better than this, just forget him." Tears fell from Ariel's eyes "I cant, I love him! Even though he doesn't know that or who I am or that I even exist....I love him!"
At that moment Gabriel had made his mind up he reached for her wings grabbing one while Raphael, who looked at her apologetically followed suit and took hold of the other. There was no time for her to react as they ripped her wings from her back she screamed in agony. The last thing Gabriel said to her "You chose this path, you are no longer a part of heaven! I don't even know you anymore!" Before releasing her from his grasp and letting her plummet to the earth below. She had lost consciousness somewhere on the way down but that was the least of her worries.
Looking around her Ariel took notice of the crater surrounding her, this would not go unnoticed by the humans. She needed to move before someone came to investigate. Groaning she got to her feet stumbling out of the crater only to fall to her knees once again. She was bleeding out rather quickly, her vision started to blur slightly. If she was going to survive down here she was going to need her wounds closed up first. Pulling herself up yet again she forced herself to walk, she needed to find help.
Looking around once more she suddenly became aware of where she was and who could help her. What felt like hours but was only Minutes later she found herself limping out of the trees towards a lone log cabin. She was dizzy and her breathing was ragged but it was only a few more feet. This had to be the place, there wasn't any other houses for miles! Before she could make it to the door though, a low growl sounded from behind her.
Slowly turning around a large black wolf stood there staring at her. Ariel smiled and breathed a sigh of relief "Hello Sebastian, I was hoping you would be home." She saw what looked like shock in the wolf's eyes, then suddenly everything went black.

Peter Bartholy and his brothers had been at the back of the property hunting, when a bright light flashed across the sky! They all stopped and watched in silence and shock as the light fell and landed a few miles south of town. None of them spoke for sometime, none of them knew what was happening. At least until Drogo who didn't want to miss a chance to irk his brothers, exclaimed "Holy shit! Aliens are real!"
Both Peter and Nicolae rolled their eyes at Drogos outburst. Nicolae looked to Drogo then back in the direction of where the light disappeared. "Don't be ridiculous Drogo it was only a meteor. Aliens don't exist." Drogo snorted "Right, because in this crazy world of supernatural creatures such as ourselves, its aliens that you find impossible?"
Knowing Drogo was trying to rile Nicolae, Peter let out an annoyed sigh but otherwise stayed quiet. He stood staring towards where the light landed. His curiosity was getting the better of him. Perhaps Nicolae was right and it was just a meteor but something made him suspect otherwise.
As their hunt ended Peter was still thinking about the strange light. He didn't know why but he couldn't help but wonder. As he brothers retired to their rooms, Peter thought about investigating. Making his choice he quietly flew out of the house in a flash running toward the town line. Right before he reached the city limits he noticed he was being followed.
Peter skidded to a halt, seconds later he saw his little sister speeding toward him. "Lorie! What are you doing out here? Why are you following me?" Lorie looked at the ground in shame that he had been caught. The little girl may be a vampire, but she wasn't as sneaky as she lead herself to believe.
"Where are you going Peter, can I come too?" Peter sighed "I wasn't going anywhere in particular Lorie just out for a run. Let's get you home before Nicolae sees you're gone and we're both in trouble." To Peters disappointment he was not going to get answers tonight. Turning around the two vampires headed back to the manor.
After putting Lorie to bed Peter went to his room to play his piano. Maybe that would help clear his head. He was wrong, for the first time in years peter had trouble stringing any notes together. Nothing sounded right to him. Frustrated Peter pushed himself away from the piano and leaned against the window. All he could think about was that light. Its as if it was calling to him, drawing him to it. No, he couldn't risk leaving again tonight knowing Lorie may follow yet again. He resigned to laying in his bed slowly letting sleep take him
