The forbidden fruit

Chapter 6

"You!" Ariel just stood there staring at Peters face as his eyes roamed over her, memorizing her features. Finally Ariel found her voice "Hello Peter." His eyes widened "How do-" Sebastian came to Ariel's side and stared Peter down. "Ariel let's go, we've got a lot to take care of." With that's they left inside the store, leaving Peter standing there frozen in shock. She knew his name, but how? He looked into the window of the shop but he couldn't see her there anymore. "Ariel" so that was her name, she was real! Peter thought about her face again, she was stunning.

Peter then decided to head home and talk to Nicolae about his discovery. Upon getting to the manor he found Drogo and Lorie sitting on the porch playing with Lories dolls. Lorie beamed as she saw Peter she ran up and gave him a big hug. Drogo smirked looking at Peter "Someone's in a very good mood today!" He walked over and covered Lories ears with his hands. " Let me guess, you finally got laid?"

Peter scowled at Drogo "No you idiot and even if I did I wouldn't tell you!" Drogo laughed "Why? Scared I'd steal them from you?" Before Peter could reply Lorie stamped her feet "Drogo let me go! Let's play with my dolls, Peter you can play too." Peter smiles "Sorry Lorie but I have to talk with Nicolae right now." The little Girl pouted but said nothing else as Peter walked inside the house.
Making his way to the study Peter didn't bother knocking as he rushed in. "Nicolae, she's real, I met her!" Startled Nicolae stood from the desk where he was sitting and walked over to Peter. "What do you mean you met her?" Peter hadn't been this excited....ever! "She was in town with Jones, just a few minutes ago she walked right into me!" Nicolae sighed "Well maybe we should pay Jones a visit. If this woman really is the one from your dream it makes me curious as to where she came from." Peter grimaced "Nicolae no I don't want to scare her!" "Peter right now I'm worried about everyone's safety, it's obvious if this woman if the same one in your dream, she's no ordinary human. We just need to make sure she's safe."
Peter groaned "Nicolae she's barely five foot tall, what damage can she truly do?" "That is what I am going to find out if she is a danger we will need to inform father. I'm sorry but you know we have no choice." Peter wasn't happy about this but he knew Nicolae was right, if someone that was a treat showed up and started causing trouble it would be bad for everyone. "Has f you're going I'm coming with you even if you don't mean to I don't want you scaring Ariel!" Nicolae laughed "So you know her name as well? Don't worry I'm not intending on scaring her."
Peter nodded and they both headed out the door of the manor. Nicolae stopped at the porch to tell Drogo and Lorie to behave, in return Drogo asked Lorie if she knew where the matches were. Nicolae rolled his eyes and got into the driver seat of the car. As they drove towards Sebastian Jones' house Nicolae glanced over at Peter who was wringing his hands "You look nervous Peter, why?" Peter smiled " You'll understood when you see her." " I guess this Ariel is quite the looker?" Peter smiled "She's absolutely Gorgeous Nicolae!"
Turning into Sebastian's driveway they quickly realized no one was home. Nicolae looked around before stating that they would wait until they got back. Peter was excited and nervous, he couldn't wait to see Ariel again!

Back in heaven, Gabriel groaned as Raphael tended to his arm. Not looking up from what he was doing Raphael asked "So, that could have gone better, but what did you do to make it go wrong?" Gabriel glared "I didn't do anything wrong! Ariel was just too stubborn to listen to anything I had to say!" "Did you at least apologize?" Gabriel nodded "yes but I guess it wasn't enough for her. I suppose I could have done a better job."
The guilt started to sink in making Gabriel feel sick to his stomach " I also tried to make her come back against her will..." Raphael stood up and started to pace "Dammit Gabriel! You know you can't do that, Ariel has made her choice and everyone has accepted it except you! You're the one who banished her in the first place! Why are you going back on it now?" Gabriel sighed looking down at the ground, that's when Raphael put it all together. Pinching the bridge of his nose he sighed "Oh no! You're in love with her, aren't you?"
Gabriel didn't speak he just nodded his head in response "What the hell Gabriel, why didn't you just tell her? That might've put an end to all of this, everyone knows she loves you!" Clenching his fists Gabriel could feel the pain radiating in his arm "She loved me as her brother and her best friend. She's never seen me for more than that."
Raphael sat down next to his brother "Tell me, how long have you felt this way?" "Going on five hundred years now." Raphael's eyes widened in shock "Five hundred years and you couldn't tell her how you feel? Damn Gabriel even Michael married Idriel in less time than that!" "I know but what am I supposed to do now? Ariel hates me!" Raphael shook his head and Gabriel turned to look at him "She doesn't hate you Gabriel, she's just hurting right now. What you can do is try to make amends. Ariel was unwise but so were you to act out of jealousy. Now you have to fix what you broke."
At that Raphael got up before leaving he turned back to Gabriel "I think I'm going to pay her a visit. I owe her an apology as well. Don't worry I won't tell her anything you told me." With that Raphael disappeared leaving Gabriel to think about how he was going to make things right, and win Ariel's heart.
