Teal
Working for Anya was hard but not as hard as when I worked on the farm. I missed my mom and my sister, but most of all I'm glad Anya hasn't had the urge to breed me yet. In retrospect I hope she never has the urge do to her hatred towards me. I could practically see hatred and disgust in her eyes as she looked towards me.
Sighing heavily as I get done scrubbing all of Anyas bedroom floors I spot a interesting book that had a black cover with a rose on the front. I couldn't read, but maybe if I get permission from Anya to go see her she'll let me... of course Anya would say no.
I mean she practically told me not to leave the room. But Anya hasn't been home in three days so it should be fine right? I mean what she doesn't know won't hurt her.
Taking a deep breath I nervously open the door as I held the book in my arms. I wanted to see her, it's been at least 12 years since I last seen my sister which would make her 19.
Rio- "What are you doing? You know if Anya sees you roaming the halls you will definitely receive another beating and perhaps even lashes."
I gave Rio a nervous look as I clutched the book I found in my hands. "I just want to see my sister, the Fire Faction shouldn't be far right? I'll be in and out in no time and besides Anya hasn't been home in 3 days so I think I'll be fine."
Rio- "Honestly Teal, you need to rest you really don't look to good and your paler then normal."
"I'm fine really, I have only just been cleaning. That's all Anya really wants me to do. So please... help me find my sister." She sighed heavily as she looked back and fourth before speaking.
Rio- "Fine But I was never here."
I beamed happily as I followed her down the barren metal hallway.
"Hey Rio, Why is this place made of metal?"
Rio- "This metal comes from Arcadia our home planet, it is a mere reminder of once we once had and lost."
"I see, that makes since I guess." We walked for what seemed like a century until we stopped in front of a large sliding door with a fire symbol on it making me feel a bit nervous as I watched Rio push the button next to the door to make it slide open.
My eyes widen in shock as I saw both guys and girls fighting nearly half naked armor practically covered in sweat as I nervously took a step back making me tense as I felt Rios comforting hand shove me forward.
Rio- "Don't be scared Teal, you have come this far don't give up now."
I smile weakly as I scan the room looking for a girl with brown hair like mine and Hazel colored eyes. You could say that our mother waited to name us in order to see our eye color. Not sure why she did that but she did.
"Hi there you look a bit lost maybe I can help?"
I look up towards the girl who spoke to me nervously as I shuffled back and fourth in my feet until I caught glimpse of something I never seen before.
"What's that?"
"This? It's a pocky, want to try?"
My stomach rumbled loudly making her chuckle as I grab my stomach from embarrassment.
"I'll take that as a yes. Here's how the pocky game works, you take the other end of this stick in your mouth and who ever let's go is the winner. Seem easy enough?"
