I waved bye to the girls as I hopped out of the car. I unlocked the door and plopped down on the couch. I closed my eyes and tried to think about what Taylor had said. Did he like me? No. Not possible. A cute guy like him could never like me. A few minutes later, I got a call from an unknown number.

"Hello?" I said.

"Hello, is this Tanner Lynn?" said a familiar male voice. I realized who it was.

"Yeah, is this Michael?"

"Yea." I could practically hear his smile through the phone. We talked for about 2 hours. He eventually asked me on a date. I obviously agreed because he was cute, sweet, and just amazing. We were meeting at the ice skating rink on Saturday at 2:30. I smiled uncontrollably. I walked upstairs and hopped in the shower. When I got out, I brushed and braided my hair. I got changed into a black nyan cat shirt and light grey yoga pants. I plopped down on my bed and put on Adventure time. Yes, I'm 16 but I still watch cartoons. I heard a tap on my window. I ignored it thinking I was imagining it. I heard again. I huffed and turned around. Taylor was right there. I opened my window.

"Hey bæ!" said Taylor smirking.

"What the fuck do you want? And I'm not you're bæ. You don't even like me. You've hated me for about, hmmm, let me see? 7 years now?" I snapped at him.

"Nice room." he said trying to climb in. How'd he even climb up here?

"What, are you here to beat my ass again?" He glared at me. I shut the window once he was in.

"Listen. I'm really sorry." he said. He looked sorry. Just not believable.

"What, are your friends out there too?" I said.

"No." he said lifting his eyebrows. He started leaning in. I pushed him back.

"Look Taylor. You've hated me for 7 years and now all of a sudden you wanna kiss. No thanks. Why don't you crawl back to your little friends. I know you're a player. I'm not gonna let you play me. I've been starting to think I had feelings for you but that changed when I realized how much of a dick you are." I stood up and walked out my bedroom door, Taylor following. I pushed him put the front door.

"Good bye Taylor."

"But wa-!" He got cut off by the door being shut. I sighed and slid down the door pushing my hair out of my face.

Song for this chapter:

I'm not a princess

This ain't a fairy tale

I'm not the one you'll sweep off her feet

Lead her up a stairwell

This ain't Hollywood

This is a small town

I was a dreamer before you went and let me down

Now it's too late for you and your white horse

To come around
