"Looking sharp, son." My stepfather smiled as he refolded my collar. "Thanks and nice eye. Amelia would have killed me if she saw my collar not folded properly." I smiled.

"You look handsome." My mother smiled. "Thank, ma." I said politely. "Is this the outfit Amelia wanted you to wear?" Burt questioned as he was examining my tux jacket. "You know it is." I laughed.

"By the way, I heard about your promposal and I'm proud of you. A man is always supposed to make their lady feel special. You're becoming a real man." Burt said sincerely as he patted my back.

"Thanks pops, that means a lot." I smiled as the doorbell rang. I opened the door and was met with Amelia. I immediately opened the door wide enough for her to enter.

As soon as she got a good look at me, her eyes went wide. "I told you that the black and white tux jacket would look good on you." Amelia smiled as he adjusted a strand of hair that was out of place.

"Let's take some pictures so you two won't be late!" My mom smiled excitedly. We both stood in front of their staircase for our pictures. I wrapped my arm around her as Burt and my mom took our pictures.

After we took a million pictures, we finally said goodbye. "You know, you didn't have to drive. My dad could have rented us a limousine." Amelia stated. "Nope." I said simply.

"I told you when I first asked you to prom to not worry about transportation. You already spent an arm and a leg just for that dress alone. I don't want you to worry about spending money for the rest of the night." I added.

"That's sweet of you." My girlfriend smiled. "It is isn't it? Here, let me get the door for you." I smiled as I opened the passenger's side door. "Why thank you." She smiled as she climbed into the seat.

I quickly jogged over to the other side of the door before I climbed into the car. "And off to prom, we go." I smiled excitedly.

I pulled out of my driveway with one hand on the steering wheel and my other hand holding onto Amelia's hand.

I parked my car in the school's parking lot before Amelia and I walked hand in hand into the building. The prom was taken place inside the gymnasium.

"Don't you two look nice." Mercedes smiled. "Thanks." I smiled as I was slightly nudged in the side by Amelia. "I mean thanks to my stylist." I corrected myself.
