Anastasia's POV

It didn't take so long to arrive at the Elven Woods but the constant mind-linking made it seem like an eternity. I felt bad blocking them out, but I knew if I told them where I was going, they would surely come running after me that second.

But what I did have to say was that the Elven Woods was the exact opposite of what I imagined. It was a village of greenery located in the middle of the woods. Houses and shops were crafted out of wood and the green moss grew on the structures. Far in the distance, you could see a wooden castle that I could only assume royalty lived in.

People walked about in the wooden area with similar appearances. Everyone had a long nose, thin lips, wide eyes, and pointed ears that stretched a mile high. Each person who passed by had the same platinum blonde hair. It was truly an exotic look.

"Beautiful isn't it?" I nod and look around at the civilization in awe.

"Hello? Anastasia!" I snap out of my trance and look at Lukas with a questioning look. "What?" I question. "Let's go." He says. I nod and begin following him through the crowds of people. It was crowded so I could barely keep up with Lukas with all the bodies in the way. People shoved and squeezed through, trying to get to where they were going.

I finally lost Lukas in the mass of bodies. I felt naked without him by my side. The children stared at me with curiosity; they were surprised that a person that looked so different was passing through their village. I stuck out like a sore thumb. My sandy hair and rounded ears were giving me away. My hair was apparently a trait I'd gotten from my mother.

"Lukas!" I tried looking for him but the crowd was too thick. I doubt my voice would travel far. Even my enhanced senses couldn't track down the warlock in the crowd of elves. I decided to find a spot on the side and wait for Lukas to arrive. Surely he'd noticed my absence and had looked for me as well.

I stood on the side for minutes and I was losing patience. I grew more anxious every second that passed. I bit my lip and decided to wait a few more minutes- just to see if he turned up.

My eyes widened as another thought came into mind. What if he had turned a wrong corner and was in trouble? This might have been the Moon Goddess's land but the races still had their arguments and fights. Growing worried, I took off in a random direction, hoping to find him.

"Lukas!" I cupped my hands around my mouth, hoping to make my voice travel further. As I made my way through, the crowd began to get thinner and thinner. I could actually see pretty well by now. "Lukas! Lukas!" My voice began to strain from all the shouting. By now my shoes were covered in mud and dirt, my hair began to cling to my face as I searched under the ow blazing sun. The weather down here was so irregular.

As I looked, I neared the edge of the woods. The trees were even closer together and it blocked most light from shining in. I just happened to look up to find that hidden way up in the trees were houses. I was so amazed by the neighborhood that was suspended in the air that I almost didn't notice the slight scent that passed by my nose. I snapped my gaze back down and sniffed as much as I could before I lost the scent.

Could it be?

I took a step forward and the scent of Lukas became a little stronger. He was somewhere in these woods. I could for sure track him down quicker in my wolf form. I turned and made sure no one was in sight before stripping my clothes and tying them to my leg. I quickly shifted into my black and white wolf. Instead of looking exactly like my father, my colors of fur came in patches.

I quickly picked up the scent and took off into the direction it came from. I continued to get a stronger and better smell the closer I got. The leaves that covered the floor crunched as I swiftly sprinted between the trees.
