After our meal, Azriel and I retired to his bedroom. He took a seat on the bed beside me. "Anastasia, tell me about you." He says, taking my hand into his. I smiled slightly at the feeling that spread throughout my body. "You already know of my parents so I guess I will tell you about my siblings." I start.
"My brother, Samouel, acts way beyond his age. He can be a little blunt sometimes but he is very protective. So don't cower when you meet him... My sister, Nerissa, is so annoying you'll want to commit suicide." Azriel laughs at that. His laugh was like angels singing in your ear.
"Our beta, Orion, can be a pain in the butt as well. He is even more protective than our brother since he raised the three of us half the time." I explain. Ariel smiles at my words. "I wish my family was like yours. My parents are from the early 1600s and are as strict and closed-minded as ever. My sister, however, she acts as if she hasn't been on the planet for centuries." I giggled as he shook his head, probably thinking about them. "Sounds like a nightmare." I say at the thought.
Azriel brought my hand to his lips and placed a gentle kiss on my knuckles. "Anastasia, I thank you for filling this hole in my heart." His breath provided heat to my knuckles. I took my hand and lifted his face to look at me. "Azriel, we have done each other both a favor today." Without noticing, I began to brush his loose ringlets of black hair out of his face. He closed his beautiful eyes and I felt him lean into my touch.
"I know it is early for you but will you come to bed with me?" Azriel questions. I nod and climb into bed with my mate. Even though I was well rested, I could easily fall asleep when in his embrace.
Lukas' POV
I had stayed in the guest bedroom with a frown on my face. Azriel was a lucky bastard to have Anastasia's loving. I thought Anastasia would be my second chance at loving but now all my hopes were crushed. I would remain loveless for the rest of my life. All of my fantasies of growing a family with someone are destroyed now. I feel like my life is limited to magic now.
After I revive Natalie, I shall retreat to the mountains in the Goddess' territory and focus on becoming the warlock I ought to be.
Moon goddess, why me? I have not done anything against you, so why punish me? I gripped my hair as I remembered the nights that Azura used to braid my hair. Her beautiful face and fiery attitude make my guilt become intolerable. All of her was taken away from me by someone with no respect for life whatsoever. That person is long gone but the marks he has made still burn me to this very day.
I practiced my magic to pass the time while Azriel probably made more progress with Anastasia then I ever would. I watched the fireball that emerged from my hand with angered eyes.
Just then, a tornado of wind bombarded the room, making most objects fly from their homes. It soon cleared to reveal the devil Beatrice. Dammit, how could I let my guard down so much! "Nice to see you, Lukas," She says wickedly. I stood to my feet, in a fighting stance. "Why have you come here?" I ask her.
"I have come to collect the girl." She says, fixing her hair. I almost curse her, right then and there but I managed to suppress my emotions. "Over my immortal body." I waste no time conjuring up a fireball and sending it right for her.
It didn't even collide with her because she put up a force field at the last second. "Lukas, It is near impossible to defeat me. I taught you your magic so every move you take, I will always be five steps ahead of you." I let out a growl as we circled each other, waiting for someone to take the next move.
It wouldn't be long before I strike. A force field was extremely exhausting to hold up so Beatrice had a few more seconds before she passed out. I formed an army of rocks that floated in the air at my command. I then threw my hand forward, motioning for the rocks to fly towards Beatrice. This time it hit her, making a few wounds form on her skin.
