Anastasia's POV

"Where have you been!" My father yells at me, pulling me into a deathly tight hug.

"I- I," When he noticed that Nerissa, Samouel, and I stuttered at the same time, he pulled back and snickered. My grandmother just looked at the three of us with an amused smile.

Why are they laughing?

"Lukas, please undo this," My father requested.

Lukas nods and within seconds, I have my thoughts and mouth back to myself.

"Thank God!" I breathe out a sigh of relief. "Nerissa's thoughts made me lose brain cells!" I yell. She just rolled her eyes and crossed her arms defensively.

My father just pulled me in a hug once more. I hugged him back tightly, not knowing how much I missed him. I squeezed my eyes shut as everything that I held back came rushing forward. Tears were streaming down my face in waterfalls and I squeezed my eyes tightly shut.

"Tell me everything that happened," my father orders.

_____

Everyone sat in the dining room where I was sharing everything that happened recently from going to Beatrice for secret lessons to when we teleported into the castle.

I was currently up to the part where I mention that I found my first mate.

I was scared because my father already had steam flowing out of his ears in big puffs. His skin became red with anger while he heard of all my whereabouts.

"We were in vampire territory and I found my mate, Azriel," I explain.

"Where is he?" My grandmother asks, almost leaping out of her seat.

"I'll get to that. So fast forward until we were in the forest of nymphs, he um, he just disappeared out of nowhere. While I was looking for him, I felt this type of unbearable pain. I knew he had died because I found my second chance mate not long after," I say, blushing slightly.

I felt Lukas' eyes burning into me.

"Well, where is he?" My grandmother yells.

"It's Lukas," I say smiling softly at his name. My grandmother looks at me with a smirk on her face. While on the other hand, my father and grandfather looked stunned.

Lukas, who was sitting beside me, holds my hand and immediately, I feel sparks bombard my skin.

"Congratulations," my father says, surprisingly calm.

"Congratulations," my grandfather follows.

I finish the story making sure not to miss a single detail.

"I'm gonna kill her." My father growls, clenching his fists. My dad seemed to forget the fact that I ran away to bring my mother back to life when he learned of Beatrice's actions.

"Athanasios, I can take down Beatrice only with your help. But she is going to want to fight after she's discovered our escape. I'd like to discuss some ideas with you." Lukas motions to my grandparents and my father.

My grandmother nods. "Of course. It's about time she has been taken down."

_____

My grandparents insisted that we freshen up before we got down to business. She showed us our rooms (which of course she put me and Lukas together) before going back downstairs.
