"Hi." Dib couldn't move. He stood in shock, his eyes darting from my arms, to my face, and everywhere else.

"I know, it seems odd, but just take a deep breath, and I can explain-"

"DEEP BREATH???" He shrieked, "YOU WANT ME TO TAKE A DEEP BREATH SO YOU CAN EXPLAIN WHY YOU LOOK LIKE A SPIDER!?" His face contorted from one of fear, to disgust, then to realization.

"Oh no. Oh no, no, no. I was right. I-I was right all along. You really are a f-FREAK!" He snapped.

Dib kept tripping over his own feet, trying His best to make something of the situation. I, on the other hand, was on my knees, curling up for warmth, and praying for life I could get sustenance soon. I lay there shivering on the ground, listening to the boy mumble things to himself.

Dib's POV

I don't understand, she was almost human! She acted human, she looked human, she didn't have any foul stench about her, unlike Zim.

And to think, I thought she was kidnapped. Now that I know what type of thing she is it only makes since she was swept down the storm drain.

Oh god. That must have been awful. Drowning in all that vile waste. And it must have been cold! 3 days without food, water or light. she must be near death!

I know I'm a paranormal investigator, but honestly, she had become such a great friend. I don't know what I'm gonna do, but what I do know is that I need to help her.

I took off my coat and rushed over to her limp form. I pulled her up by the her arms so I could wrap my coat around her. I leaned up against the wall and put her head on my lap. I slowly pet her damp hair as she drift away into sleep. Which gave me a moment to observe her features.

Her skin was pale, almost blue. Her lips were a slightly darker shade of blue than her skin. While she was awake I noticed she had fangs and her eyes were solid black. I grazed my finger over the four other slits where her eyes are closed, causing her to flinch.

Her body was just like any other humans, except with more appendages. Wait...

Does being half spider means she shoots-

*Ring* The bell sounded and we were released from detention. I helped her walk as she leaned against me, giving a warm, calming feeling. No one noticed us, thankfully, or Y/N would be exposed.

I helped her to her house via her direction, which was sadly at the complete opposite end of town from my house.

By the time we reached her house she was able to support herself again, the warm feeling gone. She had opened the door and walked in, leaving me outside. A few moments later she stepped back in the doorway.

"Aren't you coming?"

" Oh! Yeah. " I scurried inside as she shut the door, lights turning on at the same time.

"Welcome to my home! Don't mind the cobwebs." she nervously smiled.

"Woah, did you make all this?" I awed, poking a web. She placed a hand upon her chest, mouth widening.

"Heavens, no! I'm not that messy. No, that was made by my pets!"

"Pets? You mean you have a ton of spiders here?"

"Only makes since!" she laughed. Goodness her laugh, it was amazing.

" So, where are they? " I looked on my body cautiously for any spiders.

"Don't worry, they are asleep. It's getting colder, and they are less active." She reassured me and led me to the kitchen.

" You hungry? "

I paused. "Kinda..." I shyly admitted.  Faster than you I could say 'Peanut butter and jelly sandwich' 3 times at a fairly decent speed. She had two pb&j sandwiches on the table. She passed one to me and began eating.

"One, how did you do that!? Two, you eat human food?"

" One, I have 6 arms! Two, as a matter of fact, I do. I understand why you didn't know yet though, the food at school will never e considered 'human food'. " I laughed at her silly remark and thanked her for the sandwich. After she finished hers we went up the stairs into a large room I assumed to be her bedroom.

"And, this is my room." I saw a dark oak dresser at one side of the room. The carpet was grey and soft. There was a body mirror and a few decorative items on the walls, such as paintings and photographs. However, instead of a bed, a large web, traditional to one's you see in pictures, hung in one corner of the room from the ground to the ceiling.

"This one is one that I made." I looked at it, wondering if it was the same as the other one I touched earlier.

"Go ahead, you can mess with it." She gently pushed me forward so I could get a closer look at the masterpiece of web before me.

I slid my finger up the webbing, making my way closer to the center. It became harder and harder to move my finger as I got closer, until my finger came to a complete stop. I tried to pull away, but my finger was stuck inside the center of the web.

"Uh, Y/N?" I worriedly spoke. "Could you help?" I kept on wiggling my finger but there was no avail.

" Here, let me help you. " she gently took my hand, and started to knead the web around my finger. After that she peeled bits of web of my finger with her nails until there was nothing left.

"See, all better." She chirped.

I thought for a moment, thinking of the one thing that Y/an didnt have at her house. Wouldn't she have more than one bedroom for her parents?

"Hey, Y/N?"

" What do you need? "

"Well..." I thought on how I was going to put this. Apparently I didn't think to well because all the wrong words flooded from my mouth. "Do you have parents?"

" No. " She answered bluntly. "My parents died when I was young, and I'm a legal unaccompanied minor." I was astonished.

" arent you sad? N-not that I want you to be but, um... " I realized my failure to fix the conversation, but the reaction I got was unexpected.

"Yes, but it was a while ago, I m kind of over it. Now I have you, right?" She smiled at me, sending me into a dream I've never seen.

Y/N is so enchanting at times, I thought. Then I shunned myself. No. Not this early, she probably thinks I'm a dork. But even after realizing the fact that she is different enticed me even more. At this point it's almost safe to admit. I have a crush on a spider.

"Hey Dib?"

" Huh? " I was sucked out of my thoughts when Y/N began to speak.

"I was wondering if we could redo that sleepover?" She cheerfully chimed. Man, was I glad I didn't have to ask her the same question.

"Definitely!"

A/N: Hey! I hope you're liking the story so far, and pardon any typos. Stupid autocorrect. I plan to update again soon, and add more plot in the next sleepover! See ya!
