A long time ago, in the Enchanted Forest, a young girl who lived alone with her mother. She had never known her father even though he was demanding more and more money from her mother, more than she could ever earn.

So, her daughter, she had to help her.

They both had a most miserable life, trapped in their hard work and little contact with the rest of the world.

While the mother was growing flowers, the girl was trying to sell them on the market, an unhappy child often being a heart breaker for people with a bit of kindness.

Trade winds, petunias, rhododendrons, daffodils, hyacinths... so many beautiful flowers that grew the mother when the season was conducive. Spring and summer were more fortunate for this pair than autumn and winter, when despair overran them. In these cold seasons, they grew fir trees and plants resistant to the cold.

Sometimes, the daughter helped the mother and they loved to work nature. All these colors gave them hope and strengthened their bond, their love already so strong and welded.

But of all these, only one variety really radiated their small garden.

Roses.

In the middle was a flamboyant rosebush and flowers of rare beauty in this kingdom.

The mother had called her daughter, Rose.

This rose was for her and her mother, the only one they refused to sell any flower produced by the tree.

It symbolized their love for each other.

Each Monday, her mother was wearing Rose with a rose, obviously. It was their little tradition.

"Remember to always be as pure as these flowers." Her mother explained.

Their trade worked rather well, enough to pay the rent that their neighbor already found exorbitant.

Rose's father was a lord and he controlled several villages.

But she does not know who he is and will probably never know, her mother refusing any comment.
