Underage drinking. That's how every high school party starts. With it, a sense of rebellion and freedom.

    That's why Elena went.

Elena loved the burning sensation she felt as the alcohol slid down her throat, although she cringed every time. She loved not caring as she danced to the beat of the song she knew her parents would disapprove of.

The almost-suffocating room would always be filled with sweaty teenagers clashing against one another, a swamp of arms and legs moving without sync or rhythm.

No thoughts would be heard as the music played loud enough to wake the neighbours (as it often did) and if the music wasn't loud enough then the alcohol certainly helped.

But as always, the party would come to an end with the police, a hangover and a painkiller.
