"Ugh." Jay was kneeling on the ground as Cynthia had him easily beat. In fact, she didn't even break a sweat. Cynthia had merely held back on him, but she also taught him a lesson of why he shouldn't pick fights he can't win.
"Hahah. Silly silly boy. You're pretty stubborn to be my brother. Tell me did you really think you could beat me? Tough luck to you. You should really think before you act. Now c'mon. Get up." Cynthia reached out her hand to help Jay up. Reluctant, he stuck his hand out and took Cynthia's. He got up and held her hand for a moment. She was delicate yet so powerful. He pondered on how she could be both at once and was set in a deep trance. Cynthia noticed that he had gone into this trance and pulled her hand away quickly....
Meanwhile. Outside the mystical cave Jay and Cynthia were training in, the demon knight and angel knight were hiding their presence from the two nephlins using their Demon Lock. The Demon Lock ability, as well as the Angel Lock ability, allows a demon/angel to hide their souls from other demons or angels; therefore you can't sense their presence anywhere. If you're a stronger being however, this ability is negated.
The supernatural pair are working together for only one reason. They part of a brotherhood known as the infamous "Assassins of Death and Life." This league of assassins consist of both angels and demons. The strongest of them are only allowed in this organization. They were ordered to eliminate the two nephlins (nephlins are a mix of angel and demon). The angel and demon are no average beings. These are seasoned veterans with a bounty to claim. And they'll do anything to stop it. The Angels name is Miticus. He's formerly known as the "Avenger" because during the Great War of Worlds he led the angels to victory and said to be the last one on the battlefield, the rest of his comrades dead. He was matched 1000 to 1. And he came out unharmed.
The Demons name is Aria. Hes a deadly brute known for being a prisoner honing his skills in a cell. When he was thrown in the Pit, a fighting tournament for prisoners, he escaped and is now a fugitive. No one dares to take him in because they'd be fighting him and the brotherhood also.
The two were right outside the cave and were receiving the okay to engage the targets they were after. "Modria, Demon Lord, we have found the Time Chamber and are beginning to assault. Waiting on your orders," hissed Aria.
"Destroy them. Quickly. I expect you to be done in under an hour," boomed Modrias voice.
"Is it really necessary to kill these nephlins?" questioned Miticus. "What is the problem with these innocent little pests?" "The problem is that they are nephlins. It's forbidden that a demon and angel come together and have a relationship. It's the number one rule. That's why we are going to kill the parents too," Aria replied. "Hmm. Well the pay this time is worth the hunt. I sense a strong angel as well in there."
"Well then Miticus. Lead on. Let's go."
