I can't love Deceit, he's evil, I can't even like him. I have to stop this childishness, but he's so nice and he only wants what's best. Do I really have the heart to break him?
"Deceit..." Roman called out, knocking on his door. "I- what- how -when?"
"Calm down, Romi. Just take a deep breath." Deceit said as he opened the door.
"I-I can't be friends with you anymore." Roman spoke through tears.
"What?" Deceit was shocked. Hadn't he done enough for Roman to see that he cared about him.
"C-cause your a bad guy, I mean your not but... It just can't work. I'm sorry, this is really hard for me. I don't wanna lose you and I know you don't want to lose me either but maybe it's for the best." Roman ran out of the room crying before Deceit could say another word.
"It's okay, Rome." Deceit whispered at the floor. (I was going to end the chapter here.)
Moment later, Deceit was furious. He would destroy the others and get Roman back no matter what. With only one mission in mind, he made his way to the living room where the other traits spent most of their time.
By the time he got there, he watched the others sink into the real world to help with a video or something. While Deceit was still furious, he made sure to scribble a note for Roman. Then, he was there with the others.
"Roman, I don't have something to give you." Deceit spoke, hating the taste of the lie of his tongue. He passed the slip of paper to Roman and this is what it read, 'Remember that here I can only speak in lies. I mean the opposite of what I say. Please hear me out.'
"Fine, What do you want?" Roman huffed.
"Roman, I hate you, please don't give me another chance. I can't make it up to you, I can't even try. I won't try to do what is best for you. I won't help you achieve a better life. I can't make you happy Roman. Please I don't need to know, Do you hate me too?" Deceit said as sincerely as he could.
"Oh, Deceit. It was torture leaving you, I never want to do that again. I don't care what others think, I don't care about our roles. I believe you, and yes I love you too." Roman launched himself into a hug with Deceit.
"Deceit loves Roman?" Virgil said confused.
"This was the best place to do this." Deceit muttered.
"Oh come on Dece, it isn't that bad." Roman said optimistically.
"You're wrong. This won't help with your new life at all." Deceit spoke warmly.
"Do you think I should, y'know?" Roman said skeptically.
"Absolutely not." Deceit said with a smile.
"So... um." Roman started.
"Slow down, Rome. You can't do it." Deceit encouraged.
"Idon'tlikethewayyouguystreatmeattimesbecauseeventhoughIactlikeI'msuperconfidentIstillhaveemotionsandI'mnotastoughasIwouldlikesoeveytimeyouyellatmeItakeittoheartandmaybeI'mdepressed." Roman stumbled.
"Go faster. It's not okay." Deceit was right there.
"I'm not okay, I promise." Virgil said out of the blue and everyone stared at him until he said, "Not the time, I get it."
Everyone faced back to Roman and he repeated himself, "I don't like the way you guys treat me at times because even though I act like I'm super confident I still have emotions and I'm not as tough as I would like so everytime you yell at me I take it to heart and maybe I'm depressed."
"You're depressed sweetheart. You don't just have anxiety." Deceit came over to hug him. "Bad job, I'm not proud of you."
"Thanks Dece."
"No time, Roman."
"That made no sense." Roman giggled.
And the sound was like music to Deceit's ears. I love you, Rome. I will always love you, My dear Roman.
