Bo Addams
This was the second time I had been in an airport. (That I remember) The first time was when I was 15 to see my cousins, aunt, uncle, and the grandparents since the accident. I loved it there, they treated me normal. They didn't throw me pity looks or say "I'm sorry,". I was just normal for a week.
I loved my cousins; Claire and Daniel, twins. They were both real nice and treated me like nothing happened and Claire and I really clicked... again, I guess. She is my best friend. I could call her anytime and she would always pick up on the third ring, no matter what time.
I climbed out of the car. Heading over to the trunk, I heaved all my luggage out of the car. Two really big suitcases and a carry on. I slung my carry on and purse over my shoulder.
"Let me help you," Dad said as he grabbed one of the big ones.
"Thanks,".
We rolled into the airport, and got into a baggage line. We talked about how much fun I was going to have and not to have to much fun. And the most important thing is to : be CAREFUL! My parents kept saying it over and over again. They even has me take self defense classes. It's helps me and them feel better and hopefully I don't have to use it.
The almost didn't let me go on this three month trip. It took a lot of begging to get then to agree.
I got my ticket and they loaded my stuff on some rolling rods and I saw my bags vanish from my sights. I turned around to look at my parents.
I looked at both my mom and dad. They had given me so much an I love them to death, even though I've remember being with them for only three years. I sighed I stated at my ticket scanning it, Bo Renée Addams. I flicked my ticket.
"I think I'm ready,". I said with excitement.
"Awe, come here!". Dad said pulling me in his arms.
"I love you daddy,".
"I love you too, Bo,". He said kissing my hair. We released each other. I turned to mom.
"Mommy,". I hugged her.
"Ooh, my baby girl is all grown up,". She said sadness leaked in her voice. She kissed my cheek. We let go.
"Oh, mom it's not like I'm off to collage," I teased.
"Ugg, don't even remind me, I don't wanna experience empty nest syndrome," Se wined. We both laughed. I smiled at both of them. I saw my dad wrap his arm around mom's waist and pull her to his side.
"I love you both and,". I checked my phone. "I've gotta plane to catch,". I smiled.
"Bye!". I waved starting to backwards.
"Bye!". They both said in unison. I turned around and started walking towards security.

I plopped down on the cushioned seat. Seat 15A right by the window. I stared out that little window watching guys in bright neon jackets scurry to get everything on the plane. I wonder what it would feel like to fly. To have the wind whipping your hair putting it in one big knot. The sun shinning down in you, the feeling of passing though huge cotton ball like clouds.
For just a few hours you can escape your life, your burdens, and your regrets and just fly. What I would give for that. I sighed. Oh well. I felt the seat next to me dip. I turned to see a girl about my age.
She was a small girl, feckless appeared up an down her arms. Her fine hair was let to loosely cascade down her shoulders. She turned to me and gave a soft closed mouth smile. I returned the gesture. I leaned back in my seat and closed my eyes letting a sigh leave my lips.
"Nervous?". Someone asked. I opened my eyes and turn my head to the source. The girl beside me smiled.
"Uh, not really, just thinking I guess," I told her.
"Oh, well this is my first time on a plane,". She told me. I saw her fiddling with her hands. "I'm Bethany, by the way," Bethany said.
"My name's Bo, it's nice to meet you Bethany," I smiled. She smiled back. Bethany turned back in her seat and relaxed.
"Is it scary?". Bethany popped back up. I looked at her her big brown eyes held worry, she was bitting her lip and fiddling with her fingers again. "I mean the plane,".
"Um, not really it's shaky when we take off-". I was interrupted by a few dings.
"Good morning ladies and gentlemen! If you would avert you attention to the front of the plane, the lovely Diana will show you the correct safety procedure,". The intercom voice said. I ignored the rest. "Drinks will be severed when we reach thirty thousand feet. Thank you for flying with Southwest Airlines today!". I turned my attention towards Bethany.
"As I was saying before I was rudely interrupted. It's a little shaky when we take off and land, your ears will get clogged, they'll serve drink along with little snacks. Other than that there's not much to it but the view when we fly is breathtaking!" I smiled.
"That's all every useful information," She said. "I might be fighting you for the window seat,". She laughed.
"Bring it on,".

You could hear the engines getting louder and louder as we raced down the runway, the whole plane was shaking slightly. I looked down I saw Bethany's hands glued to the arms rests. Her knuckles growing paler, her head leaned back against the head rest, eyes shut tight, nose all crunched up.
You could feel we were pointed upwards, it was like that for a few minutes. The we were steadily climbing. I saw Bethany open one eye and then both, her body relaxing. She let out a deep sigh.
"That wasn't so bad now was it?" I joked. Bethany scoffed. Ding! Ding!
"We have now reached the altitude of thirty thousand feet, you may now use your electronic devices,". Intercom voice said. I did as I was told I grabbed my IPhone and earbuds, I turned on my phone, plugged my earbuds in. I turn on my music and put my earbuds in my ears.
Music : ON
World : OFF
I closed my eyes and faded into la la land and then sleep tugged at my mind, slowly falling into a dark bliss.
