Third person P.O.V.
Jayra threw herself onto the hotel room's bed, bouncing as high as she could without breaking it. The room had two queen sized beds, a big dresser, a TV, and a bathroom. Her parents were unpacking their things, and in the process creating a new definition of the term, forever. The girl couldn't keep still as she buzzed around with Zorua watching her from the corner with a board expression.
Jayra looked out the large window over the Sinnoh terrain. It was her first time traveling to a region besides Unova, (I'm not sure if I mentioned she lives there) and she wanted to go exploring as fast as possible. The small city the Braise family was staying in was surrounded by woods, and in one direction, you could just see the glint of the sun glancing off the buildings of Hearthome City. People walked in the streets below with new pokemon Jayra had never seen before.
"Are you guys done now?" She whined to her mom and dad. "I want to go do the hike we planned!"
"Almost." Sarah said. "Be patient."
Five minutes and forty-nine seconds later, (though it felt like ages) the family of three plus one pokemon walked outside. There was a trail that wound in a loop through the forest that they were planning to go on, and after buying some snacks and filling up water bottles, they set off.
It was amazing. Jayra knew in the back of her head that this bit of woods wasn't much different then the bit of woods she lived next to, but Sinnoh seemed to be just so new. From the shapes of the leaves to the flowers growing in the ground.
The green eyed girl and the crimsoned eyed pokemon ran ahead of Sarah and Orion, doubling back, and crisscrossing over the path, laughing all the way.
Meanwhile, Squad A was watching from the shadows, having followed the Braises to Sinnoh. If Jayra disappeared from here, N would never know what happened to her.
"Move out." The leader called quietly.
Jayra was chasing Zorua down the path, when a bush full of berries she had never seen before caught her eye. "Hey!" She called. "Zorua, come look at this!"
The two friends came off the path out of sight to investigate, and were caught by surprise when a voice said; "Dustox, use string shot!"
Sticky webs shot from the bushes, cast from an unknown pokemon, and cocooned Jayra and Zorua so they weren't able to move.
"Mummufuphm!" Jayra yelled against the webs covering her mouth. Six people dressed in black outfits the same as the people who had taken Purrloin away jumped out of hiding, grabbed their ensnared victims, and were off running before Sarah and Orion knew anything was wrong. They crashed through the undergrowth, dragging their captives, and came onto the main road where a moving truck was waiting. Laying Jayra and Zorua in the back, and locking the door, the black clad group jumped in the vehicle and started driving.
The two friends struggled against the webs, but to no avail.
"Orra, ah oo oos 'cratch?" Jayra mumbled around her bonds.
Zorua, getting the message about whether he could use Scratch, shook his head the best he could. His paws were tangled in such a way that it would be impossible for him to cut the sticky webs. Jayra frowned, and started trying to come up with a new plan to get them out of this situation.
She was scared, but knowing her parents were still somewhere close consolled her slightly. If they could just get out of the truck, they could hopefully call for help, and with any luck, they would be heard and help would come.
The girl started wiggling around in the confined space, looking to see if anything useful had been left there. After realizing what she was doing, Zorua helped her. They discovered no additional objects, but Zorua had found a nail that poked a little ways out of the floor. Rolling around a bit, he was able to get some of his webs snagged on it, and when the truck turned, used the momentum to roll the other way. The webs, not being tied, but sticking to him, pulled away in a long strand like taffy. Encouraged, he jerked away from the nail again, and was rewarded by a good portion of his bonds being drawn off him. He now could move his left front paw.
Jayra, watching all the proceedings, gave a small cheer as Zorua's claws glowed, and he used Scratch to cut away the rest of the webs, freeing his body. He quickly freed her as well, and they now could stand up. Gently, Jayra tested the door of the truck. It was locked hard. Growling in frustration, she turned to her friend. "I guess we have to wait until they unlock the doors."
"Zor, zorrra."
And so they waited.
There! Slightly longer then the last chapter! Sorry if these last few haven't been as good. I will hopefully post again soon! Byeee!
