CHAPTER ONE azkaban
━━━━━━━━DISTANT SCREAMS from afar filled the newborns ears, adding to eerie atmosphere she had awoken too. It was a dreadful sound that forced the girl to cry out, letting her hand fall upon the harsh floor beneath her, before using all her strength to remove it as the discomforting chill ran through her delicate fingers.
She desperately cried out once more, inhaling sharply at the movement of another pair of elegant hands, lifting her from the cold floor and bringing the baby closer to her own body warmth. It wasn't much, but she was determined to do as much as she could to save her weak, dying daughter.
The darkness surrounding the pair was changed to a blinding bright light as the cell bars swung open, letting the sunlight from outside fill in, illuminating the soiled cell surrounding them.
"Don't take this child," the woman begged, her voice raising slighting as the two males got closer. She crawled back, desperate to get as far away from the intruders as she could before colliding with the wall behind her. "I won't let you,"
One of the men shook his head, as the other looked down at the woman in disgust, "don't make this harder than it needs to be," he spat, removing his wand from the side of his cloak and pointing it towards her.
"SHE WILL NOT BE TAKEN FROM ME!" she screamed. Yellow light erupted from the end of the youngest mans wand, bounding the woman's limbs together with ropes as she struggled to release herself.
The woman let out a rather drained laugh, "what are you going to do with her?" she urged, "you wouldn't want to give her to the fool of a man who happens to be the father, that wouldn't be wise, would it?"
"Sirius Black is currently, and will be for the remainder of his lifetime, jailed here in Azkaban, much like yourself," the man informed her as she once more let out an enthusiastic, cackling laugh that echoed throughout the cell.
The other man present retrieved the wailing baby from the ground, laying her uncontrollably shaking body in his large arms in hopes to relax the small child.
"How dare you?" the woman screamed, striving to release herself from the bounds by twisting her body, "get out of my cell!"
The two men turned to leave, letting the ropes loosen around the women so she could move freely. The cell door shut once more concealing the darkness within it before one of the men turned to face the women through the bars.
"You didn't deserve that child,"
It all happened so fast, those elegant hands that had been used to so carefully lift up the baby's body had found their way around the young mans neck and were shaking with such a force. The shouting that had echoed through the cell before was now replaced with loud, joyed laughter as the woman watched a lifeless body coiled with the hard stone ground, nothing more than a bared gate keeping them apart.
