"Did you really buy this much alcohol?"

I shrug, not seeing the problem with the $300 worth of alcohol I had spent. It's something I always do for parties. People come here expecting alcohol so I'm going to make sure we're well stocked.

"You're welcome," is all I say considering they should be thanking me instead of judging me for this. They didn't have to spend a single dime.

Calum puts his hands up in defense before grabbing a beer, "Cheers to you man."

I lay down the last cup for beer pong and tuck a curl behind my ear that had seemed to fallen out of place. I spent an exceptional amount of time on my hair and I have no intentions of fucking it up.

My outfit is simple for the most part, I had settled on an old band tee shirt and topped it off with a pair of slacks and a few necklaces. Rings decorate my fingers as I prefer to add style in my jewelry as opposed to my clothes.

"When are Jessa and Mila coming?" I ask speaking of the two girls Calum had said we'd be set up with tonight.

The sooner they come the better.

"Probably soon," Calum says with a shrug. "People should be coming in any minute now."

I just nod my head, pulling my cigarettes out of my pocket and grabbing one. I light it up quickly before pressing it to my lips and inhaling sharply just as Ashton walks into the kitchen. He looks stressed while trying to get the place together but for the most part, it's all set

I watch him immediately cringe at me smoking inside which I know he hates but I can't find it in me to care. Never have, never will.

Usually I avoid smoking in the kitchen or any room near it but tonight, I know a shit ton of people will be smoking in here so I can't find it in me to care. Plus, as I said, I supplied everything so I should be able to have a cigarette if I want one.

"Who's all coming tonight?" Ashton asks, hearing the end of our conversation.

"The regulars I guess," I say not knowing who exactly. "No fucking idea, people tend to just show up."

Ashton nods, satisfied with the answer as I look around the kitchen once more to make sure we're all set.

"Where are Michael and Crystal?" I ask considering they're usually here by now.

"On their way," Ashton says checking his phone. "They stopped to get chasers and stuff."

Ah, I step away from the kitchen as I hear the door open grabbing my attention. I look over to see a group of people coming in who already seem to be mildly drunk which means one thing...

I'm too sober.

I don't say hi to them, in fact, I don't even acknowledge them as I walk over to the counter and grab a bottle of whiskey that I plan to keep in my hand all night. I need to be a quarter of the way through this in the next twenty minutes.

"What's up, Luke?" they all ask as if we've been friends for years.

I just nod my head at them before turning up the music in an attempt to keep them from talking to me anymore. Calum seems to notice this as he snorts and joins me by my side with his own fifth in his fist.

"Jessa and Mila said they'll be here in fifteen," he says showing me the text, making me look over his shoulder to eye it myself.

Can't they just be here now? What's taking so goddamn long? I could use a quickie before this shit show starts.

"I'm going upstairs," I say wanting to avoid people until I'm mildly drunk. I don't feel like talking to anyone right now, especially anyone that's here right now. None of them seem to be worth the conversation.
