Chapter 11 - The Council

I woke up and noticed that I was laying on my side facing the wall were I saw the sunlight pour through the window. I was going to sit up until I felt something heavy laying over my side. Confused, I lifted the covers to see an arm over me. I turned and looked to see a sleeping Demos.

I screamed and pushed him off and stood up out of the bed. My scream immediately startled Demos as he sat up and looked around and looked at me. He gave me a confused look. "What?" He asked in annoyance.

I was shocked that he was in my bedroom. Or even in the same bed as me. I thought he hated me. "Wh-What are you doing?" I asked in a shaky voice.

Demos rolled his eyes and got out of bed. He bend over to grab his clothes. He put his shirt and sweatpants back on and look over toward me with his usual bored look. "Well, I had a hard time sleeping last night due to my inner wolf insisting me to have you near me. Also, I am your mate. I do with you as I please." He made his way over to the door about to make his way out not before saying something else. "The sl-maids will bring you breakfast first. Then they will send you over some clothes for today's event."

I gave him a confused look he rolled his eyes. Well, I'm sorry that I have no idea what you have planned for today.

"I will announce you as the Luna Prime at the Moon Council Building." He said then walked out the room.

Just my luck now the whole world will know I'm his mate. I can forget about the human colony now. Everything is happening too fast. I mean seriously I just met the man yesterday.

Then there was a knock at the door. "Come in." I shouted then a blonde girl in a maid uniform walked in with cart like the one yesterday.

"Hello, Miss, I was sent my the Master to help you meet the council today. Also, I am your personal maid. My name is Bethany."

"I'm Katherine."

The girl giggled. "I already know your name, Miss."

"You can just call me Katherine. You don't have to keep saying 'Miss.'"

Bethany had the look of panic on her face. "I can't, Master, said to only speak formally to you."

"Well, if it makes you feel better you can say my name when he is not around."

Bethany look hesitant then nodded. "O-Okay."

"Well I will leave you to eat and I will be back with your clothes." As soon as she said that she quickly left and left me to eat my food.

After I finished eating she came back in with clothes that looked like they just came from the dry cleaner.

Soon Bethany started on getting me ready for meeting the council. She did my makeup, but I insisted on doing my own hair. Which I decided to put in a neat bun above my head. The outfit I had was nice and simple. I was wearing was a black dress with a white sash around my waist. Along with black flats.

After I was dressed I made my way down the stairs were Demos was already waiting for me. He gave me the look of 'awe'. "You look nice, Katherine."

"Uhm, thanks." I muttered.

He handed me a black pea coat and then he grabbed my hand and led me to the hover car. Once we got to the car I was let in first. As soon as Demos got in the car. We headed toward the.

Soon as we got out the car we were met with a crowd of lycans. They were being held back by security. Some of them the look of disgust and had the look of curiosity. But, none dared said a word due to the fact they don't want to face their Alpha's wrath. I guess the secret is out that I am Demos mate.

Demos put his arm tightly around my waist and gave a out a loud growl in warning. The people in the crowd backed up and put their heads down in respect.

When I walked up the steps I noticed that this use to be the details of the building. It was the old Supreme Court Building, but it was now change with carvings of their culture on it. Once we made it inside everyone stared at us, mainly me. Their heads were immediately down when Demos gave another growl in warning and his hold on me only tighten. If he held me even closer he might just literally snap my ribs.

Then we made it to a set of double doors with a guard standing on each side. When they spotted Demos they bowed and opened the doors. The room was sort of like a throne room aside from the king and queen chair on the other side of the room, there were six chairs on the left and right side of the room. In each chair was a middle age or older man. The men stopped in their conversation and rose from their seats with bowed their head once they noticed us.

We walked passed the and sat on the throne chairs. It felt weird sitting on throne. I look to see the men sitting and gave me a curious confused look.

Out of all twelve men one man stepped forth from his seat. "Alpha Prime Demos, permission to speak?"

"You may." He said in a very authoritative voice.

"Why is there a human in our presence? Is she the reason we are summoned here?" He asked bold and he had a little agitation in his voice. Some of the men muttered they want an explanation as well.

"Silence!" Demos shouted and everyone became quiet. "This is my mate and your Luna Prime." The men had shocked look on their face, that someone high ranking has a human mate.

The councilman look angry at this and spoke once again. "This human cannot lead our kind. She is only hum-" Demos used his super speed and ran over to the councilman and grabbed him by his throat and held him up in the air.

The councilman gasped and looked shocked and fearful. I was scared too. I mean Demos looked pretty scary. He grew larger, long sharp black nails came out of his fingers, and his eyes turned blood red. Remind me to never piss him off.

"YOU WILL WATCH WHAT YOU SAY ABOUT MY MATE! SHE IS YOUR QUEEN, SO DEAL WITH IT OR I WILL NOT HESITANT TO KILL YOU! DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR!"

The man nodded his head as best as he could and Demos let him go. The man feel to the ground gasping for air. Demos walked away calmly and stood in the middle of the floor. "Does anyone dare challenge me?" He looked around the room to see men's heads down in fear. "Well, I believe the meeting is adjourn. Lets go mate." He commanded. Not wanting to piss him off even more I quickly got up and made my way toward him and grabbed his hand. He held it tightly as he led me out of the room. For some reason I looked back and saw the councilman giving me a glare. Immediately I had a bad feeling build up in me about that guy.
