She felt different and out of place
She had failed to win the race
She thought she was a lightbulb with no light
Yet she was still seen as someone so brightShe seemed so joyful and glory
But her eyes told a different story
She managed to muster up a smile
Even when happiness was away a long milePeople gave her expressions of bleak
Once her unfortunate secret was leaked
She was always heard, never listened to
And even then people didn't know what to doAs friendly faces turned into frowns
And her sadness began to weigh her down
She was already at a different state
And they realised it had become too late- aj
