poetry is just
a metaphor for
life
a peculiar way of
twisting the truth
and expressing it through
forms of riddles
a way to
sugarcoat
the insanity burning
deep within
as the
shoreline in my
mind
keeps those waves of
depression at
bay
and preventing those
tainted roots of the
poisoned weeds from
polluting my mind
with anxiety ridden
thoughts
poetry is just a
way
to cope with the
untameable darkness
lapping at my soul
inside
