Conner
The sun rays cascading down her face while the wind blows, making her white floral dress flow through the warm breeze. I've never seen such a goddess face until now, until I met Cady. She takes my breath away along with the wind.
She's glowing. With her bright eyes, white and flawless skin and her pink lips. God! I wanted to punch myself when she bit her lip concurrent with her stormy eyes, like she was trying to stop the rain, but failed. And when she sobbed through my arms, I felt my heart clenched, I just wanted to hug her and hold her forever just so she knows that I've never stopped loving her, that I just chickened out. But I don't care anymore, she's mine forever and I wont let my weak side to take the lead this time.
I look at her and she turns her head up to me, her eyes dancing with glee. She smiles, showing her pearl teeth. I smile back and kiss her lips, I felt her sigh. She smiles when we parted.
"I'm glad that I'm the one you picked to put a ring on," she says, while she lay her left hand on my chest.
I frown a little, "you're the only one I want and would marry."
"You better, because I'm carrying your child." She tries to joke it out but, the hurt in her voice is clearer than the ocean's water.
I use my index finger to lift her chin, "carrying our child or not, I will marry you, no one else." She bites her lip again, but not because she's on the verge of tear but. . . "Are you trying to seduce me?" I ask feeling the smirk forming on my lips.
She giggles then looks at me, her eyes is on playful mode. She leans in to my ear, "maybe," she whispers seductively and bites my earlobe, I groan and cup her waist and bum making her gasp and squeeze it.
"I missed your laugh," I say admittedly and kiss her cheek, she giggles. "I missed you, Cady baby." Her giggles died down that made my heart pounds rapidly, I pull a little to look down at her, "Cady?" I whisper, I hear her sniffle. She wipes her stain cheeks before gazing up with her eyes full of different emotions.
"Let's go home." She smiles, with her sad eyes.
"Baby, what's wrong?" I furrow my eyebrows, getting nervous and worried.
She looks away, "nothing, I'm just tired." She looks at me and gives me a fake smile once more.
Nodding, "Ok, let's get you both home."
The car ride was silent. Giving Cady's sister and the gang an update before tossing my phone away. We've reached our house and Cady's still giving me the silent treatment.
Did I say something wrong?
She went upstairs, straight to our room. I follow her and hear the water running, she's having a shower. Not having a second thought, I strip off and push the bathroom door that left unlock.
Her back is turn, her flawless back and perfect buttocks made me approach her. Positioning my lips to her ear and my hands to her both sides, trapping her.
"Tell me what I said wrong?" I feel her stiffens.
"You said nothing wrong, Conner." She whispers.
"Don't lie to me," I growl and turn her to me, holding her shoulders while I half glare and half plead her.
She sighs, "you told me you missed me," she looks at me with her teary eyes.
Oh no.
"What is wrong about that?" What the hell is wrong about that? I mean, I just told her what've been feeling these past months, was that wrong? It's wrong if that was a lie, which it wasn't.
"I don't know," she shrugs, "maybe it's just my hormones, don't mind me." She smiles and turns to wash her hair. I stop her by snatching the shampoo from her hand. "Hey!" She protests.
"You tell me the goddamn truth, and let me wash you." She crosses her arms and raises an eyebrow. "Don't raise your eyebrows at me," she sighs, indicating that I win.
I win the goddamn fight.
She looks down, "I'm just happy to hear that you missed me too," she whispers.
I smile and grab her face, "I missed you, did you really?"
"really, really." She smiles.
"Good," I kiss her nose. "I love you, never question that."
She laughs nervously, "you're kinda too late for that but, I wont do it again."
My frown made her laughter stop, "I'm sorry," I say and caress her cheek.
She smiles, "stop saying sorry, honey. It's ok now," she kisses my lips and I smile.
"Tell me you still love me," I whisper to her lips.
"I love you, I love you Conner. I love you, only you. I.Love.You, Conner Montgomery. I love you and our baby." I didn't hesitate to kiss her, her words are very tempting.
I kiss her hard, pulling her close to me, not wanting to let her go.
Oh how I've missed her.
To be honest, I'm falling in love with her even more these past years. I am thankful to God for giving me an angel like Cady and yet, there's another angel coming. Our baby.
I'm going to be a father.
We parted and I rest my forehead against hers, she smiles while I grin at her, "I love you so damn much." I say, kissing her on her forehead.
Our shower led to something awesome and incredible. I really did miss her.
--An Angel--
