Conner
Typing, reading emails, printing out papers, arranging documents all I'm busying about. I'm just doing this to fulfill my promise to my dad, for my future family. And now Cady's not giving some root to this! I'm just prioritizing their needs! What this family needs! Money and a hardworking father are on top!
Maybe it's because money really can't buy real happiness.
And now the only person I could talk to has to but in; my subconcious.
I stop typing, rubbing my face and let out a stressful sigh. I stand up and exited my office, it's 7:37 in the morning and I could hear Cameron making funny noises. I tip toe to their room, only to find my boy with wide blue orbs open and laughing while reaching to his feet, I smile.
I approach them silently, I stop and look at my fiancee. Her alive and young face turns in to dead, pale and a bit aged face. Her eyes is surrounded by dark circles, her body loss weight, she's getting skinny. And then I realize how I've missed her. I turn around, gripping my hair and wiping the tears that got out while staring at Cady, my Cady. I look back when I sense Cameron is about to cry, I pick him up.
"Shh, you don't want to wake mummy up don't you?" I carry him out, but stop and get back to Cady, I kiss her cheek, she stirs a little. "I'm sorry, please dont lose faith in me."
I had a great day, actually hours with my son at the backyard and by the time 10:38am we head back to the office. I have finished feeding and running him a bath, I thought he is about to sleep next, but hell no! He got a lot of energy, he is being giggly and cute all the time.
I put some dancey song for the little guy, Bad by Michael Jackson. I put him up on the table, keeping him to stand and kind of swaying him, he's just giving me that cute smile while he's moving up and down through the beat.
"You know I'm bad, I'm bad, you know it!" I couldn't help but to move along, he is just like his mum, the way he moves is just contagious. Like her mother.
"Yep, you're bad." I chuckle. I threw him in the air and catch him, makes him laugh all the time. I make silly fart noises on his tummy, he laughs so loud that you just wanted to tickle him. Such a wonderful creature.
I look at the clock and it's passed 12 in the afternoon, Cady must be really worn out by this little guy.
"You worn mummy out pretty good." I give him a pointed look while shaking my head, he just stares at me.
"But you're just so cute, I think daddy could bite you!" I nuzzle his tummy and tickle him, his laugh is non stop."Ok, bud. Let's get you back to mummy." When I open the door, I see Cady about to walk away.
"Cady." I call. She stops and turns around slowly, a little hesitant. "Here." I pass her Cameron and she kisses his head.
"Uhh, I already fed him and he got his bubble bath." Cady nods, she looks afraid.
"Thanks." She whispers.
Her tone is cautious, careful. Careful for what?
"Ok, sure, I, uh have to go back."
"Yeah, sure, ok." I turn around and got back in my office, but before I close the door, I take one last glance at them, they're looking back. Cady smile, I smile back then closes the door.
A shakey breath comes out once I sat on my black leather seat, I put my hands on my face and stay silent for a minute.
What should I do? I know this is way too much for Cady, I don't want her to leave me. Hell, I dont know what to do when she leaves me. Then a light pops out, I know what to do. I dial her number and wait.
"Hey, do me a favor."
