You were mine (Chapter 10)

''I hate you! I really hate you!''
''Ryo-chan!'' Kei worriedly looked at the teener.
''Mom cries every night and he was calling you. Do you know how scared he was everytime he goes to the hospital alone! When, he does all the job at home when me and Yuto are at school! You were so dense. How could Mom loved a person like you!'' Kei grabbed the boy to his embrace and calmed him down.
''Ryosuke, I'm sorry I wasn't there for you and your mom. Yuto, help me with your brother..''
''I won't. Ryo-chan has been very responsible these past few months. He took care of me and mom. The least I can do is to support him. But I can't believe how stupid you were, Dad.''
''Yuto, don't talk to your father like that.'' Yabu held his shoulder.
''How could you trust that woman, when her child is not even yours. She almost killed mom several times and driving him to insanity. If he's not thinking about us and Yuri, he would have given up long time ago. And I know that mom would still want you back, no matter what. He was just waiting for the right time. He will do everything to make sure Yuri's position in the family and that he will take you back from her. If mom fails, I will do it. I'll make sure that Yuri will get what's rightfully his, we will take everything back, including you!''
Inoo and Yabu smiled. Who would say that Daiki and the two boys are not related. Daiki loves them like his own and the boys feel the same.
Ryosuke has the serious, responsible, loving and fragile personality of Daiki while Yuto has his airhead, stupid, funny,but strong, scary and menacing persona. How could Takaki missed that.

''That's enough!!''  Nanami-sensei appeared and stopped them.
''Follow me. It's time to meet Yuri.'' He smiled and looked at Takaki.
They passed the nursery room. They were taken to another room where the baby was placed.
''He needs to stay here since he's premature, but he'll be fine. Nothing for you to worry about.''
He tapped Takaki's shoulder and let them see the child.

''Ryo-chan. Look! He's so cute.'' Yuto motioned to his brother.
''Yuri..just as I thought. He's beautiful, like Mom.'' he wiped his tears and sniffed like an idiot.
Takaki looked at the sleeping child. ''Yuri..'' He cried. He's happy but he could be happier if he knew, if Daiki was there.
''Sensei, what about Daiki.''

''He went into cardiac twice while in the operating room. He's still fighting. Yaotome and Okamoto are with him. It looks like he doesn't want to leave yet. I wonder why...'' He gave Takaki a knowing look.

How many hours has it been. Six. Seven.
Pain, fear, agony, guilt. They were killing Takaki. Not knowing what to do. Not knowing if Daiki would make it out alive. Yuto and Ryosuke might have hated him but Ryosuke's head is on his lap and Yuto's on his shoulder. Both boys were sleeping due to fatigue.
''Dai-chan...''

The light on the EMERGENCY sign went off. Yabu and Inoo stood up and wait for Hikaru or Keito to come out and give them...a possible good news. The  two boys were startled with their father's sudden movement.
The two were obviously tired but a smile registered on their face.
''Now, you have to give him a reason to fight further. Give him reason to live.'' Hikaru hugged his friend.
''We'll transfer him to ICU afterwards and he can get his own room in 2-3 days. Please,. all of you should go home and rest. You don't want Dai-chan to see you in that state. He's going to throw a fit.'' Keito told them.
