You didn't know what to do. You didn't know how to respond to his letter at all.

You just sat there on your bed in silence, reading over the last line of his letter almost a hundred times as you tried to take in what he had written,

"Can we be friends?"

You wanted to smile at that, but for some reason your stomach dropped and you started to panic when you thought about having to face this guy.

You had still never seen him before and you were starting to freak out because of it. You knew he was obviously nice, especially since he was actually talking to someone like you, but you were still nervous.

What if he were really attractive and you can't even speak because you're too nervous? Will he come to your door?

You made a mental note to not answer your door.

But, then you thought about his feelings. It would be rude to reject his question. Even though you had been through so much these passed couple of years, you were still nice and cared about others' feelings.

Still seated on your bed as you read his note once more, you heard shifting from the other side of the wall where Taehyung's voice usually came from. The sound was soft, like bed sheets moving, and that's when you realized that his bed must be right on the other side of the wall like yours.

Your heart started beating quickly as you listened closely to hear a soft and deep sigh from the other side of the wall. It was Taehyung. He was on his bed.

You nearly jumped out of your own skin when you heard his slightly muffled voice loud and clear.

"Y/n....," his voice was undeniably deep, and smooth. "Are you there?"

Your heart was beating so fast that you almost started hyperventilating. He was talking to you. He was actually talking to you, and his voice was so deep.

You didn't even think about answering him back because you were frozen in your own fear. There was no way you could answer him. No way.

So instead, you decided to quickly write him a note so he would get distracted from trying to talk to you.

This time you knocked on his door so he'd read it immediately.
