After contacting Devan, I went to train with Zabrina and Ryan. I grabbed my bow, arrows, dagger, and sword, and rushed outside. They were near the end of a fight.  I got outside just in time to see Zabrina disarm Ryan.

"Hey, ready for me?" I called out to them.

Ryan wiped the sweat off his brow. "Yeah, go ahead and take a turn. I'm pooped."

I gave him a sideways glance. "You need to poo?"

He laughed, and Zabrina cracked up. "No, I'm tired. It's a saying."

I shook my head. "You two are weird."

Zabrina regained control over her laughing. "Well, everyone's weird in their own special way!"

I snorted. "Okay, then. Ready to fight?"

She took a deep breath, and nodded. I decided to practice with my right hand. We did four or five rounds. She disarmed me the first few times, but I disarmed her the last time, probably because I switched back to my left hand.

We took a break for lunch, and we were about to go fight when Devan contacted me.

I felt a buzz in my brain, and I heard him.

"Hey, Artemis, can we talk?"

"Yeah, sure! One second."

Ryan stopped walking outside, and looked at me. "Who are you talking to?"

"Devan. I'll catch up with you guys in a minute. You go without me."

He shrugged and left. I walked to the lounge room so I could sit.

"So, what do you need, Devan?" I felt nervous, and realized it was Devan feeling nervous, not me.

"Did something happen?"

He took a deep breath. "I told them."

"Did they take it well?"

There was a long pause. "Well, most did."

My heart rose. There were some on our side. "What about the others?"

"They either don't believe it, or they were part of the plot. Anyway, about fifteen ran away."

"How many does that leave?"

"About forty. Will that be enough?"

I smiled. "That will be more than enough if we plan right."

There was silence. I wondered if I'd said anything wrong. "Devan are you..."

"I'm fine," he said, "It's just..." he sighed. "I want to apologize."

"What for? You've been so helpful."

"I mean before now. I help the wrong side. You were right all along."

"Devan, you weren't on a wrong side. You were used. Even I was. There was no right side. We only just found where we stand. The only right side now is against the government."

I felt happy, like Devan was smiling.

I took a deep breath. "Now, to make this easy, I'll tell you where to find us. Tell only the ones who want to help. Be sure to come when no one can follow you."

"How can I do that?"

I paused, brows furrowed. How could he make sure of that? I didn't want the government to know where we were, but I needed their help.

"I don't know. I....try to figure it out. For now, plan, okay? It might be that we stay in touch through each other. We might also come to you. But, for now, let's keep our plans between each other, just so nothing gets to the government before hand."
