"Are you ready?"

I woke up, Thalissa hovering over me. "I want to go over the plan. You ready?"

I rubbed my eyes, sitting up. "I guess." I yawned.

She smiled. "See you in ten at the breakfast table, sleepy pants!"

I stretched, and got out of bed. I threw on some shoes and quickly brushed my hair. I thought of putting it up or in a braid. Nah, I'll leave it down. But I want it out of my face. I sighed, compromising, and put my hair in a half ponytail.

"Good enough," I muttered, then headed upstairs for breakfast.

I sat down next to Zabrina and Thalissa, for the third time this week, and started eating.

There was small chat, but I stayed quiet, eating fast, then waiting for Thalissa to finish.

I nudged Thalissa, getting her attention. "Do you want to share?"

She smiled, nodding. "Yep." She took a deep breath. "Hey, listen up, we got some good news!"

I smiled at her, then continued. "We finished the plan. I have decided roles assigned to all of us, so that we can all escape safely, along with everyone else who we know deserves a second chance. After breakfast, let's all go over the plan, everyone's roles and when we should set out."

Everyone cheered, glad we were so close to victory.

Ryan stood up, a hand raised. "I'd like to add something. The tech group finally has finished ordering the equipment, and we're almost done re-engineering the parts."

Once the cheering had died down, I saw Cameron holding up his glass.

"I'd like to make a toast to a new future! To the Revenirs!"

I smiled, following suit. "To the Revenirs!"

"To the Revenirs!"

Once the chattering was back down to a minimum, I turned back to Thalissa.

"Let's go pull up and go over the plan."

She nodded, and we slinked out of sight. As we walked out, my hair got caught in the door, along with handle.

"Ow! Hebetudinous, that hurt!"

Thalissa rushed to me. "Are you okay?" She glanced at my hair. "Wow, you really got yourself in a mess." She stifled a laugh.

I glared. "It's not funny! Ugh, I knew I should have braided my hair. Can you get it out?"

She laughed. "Sorry, this is just like something Rapunzel would get herself into. Your hair is past your hips."

I rolled my eyes. "Can we quit talking about fairy tales? Can you get it out or not?"

"I'll try."

After twenty minutes of struggle, and almost ripping my scalp off—well, not actually, but it sure felt like it— we concluded I'd have to cut my hair.

I tried to keep it as long as possible, but after the blunt cut, and some trimming from Val, it was only a few inches past my shoulder.

"It looks so much straighter than it used to," Thalissa commented, as I gazed at my reflection in the mirror.

I shrugged. "I usually have my hair braided. My natural hair is actually pretty straight." I sighed. "I wish it was long."

Thalissa patted my back. "Well, if a door could grab your hair that easily, so could Vladimir, or someone else. At least this is practical."
