-Summary: Shawn and your daughter encounter a bit of a troubling situation after getting off of a flight home back to you.-

-Warnings: SHAWN's POV, lots of fluffy and cute dad!Shawn-

I just got off of the plane in Toronto with Andrew, Geoff, Brian, Ziggy and Jon. We came from California, where we were all staying for a few weeks, including Y/N, leaving Skylar, our daughter, with me. She had to catch an earlier flight back home because of work. Much to my relief, there's no paparazzi here to slow us down. It's late, I'm tired, and so is Sky. She's sitting on my hip, her head on my shoulder while she sleeps.

"Let's go this way, hopefully, there's no one here so we can go home," Andrew tells me, and I just nod my head, not wanting to wake Sky up.

As soon as we get out of baggage claim, we see a few girls waiting for me. There are only ten girls, Andrew looks over to me for an answer on what we should do.

I feel bad about leaving without taking pictures, it's only a couple, it shouldn't be too long. "It's fine," I tell him as we approach the line of fans, who, unfortunately, start screaming, causing me to slightly panic. I'm worried that they're gonna wake up Sky.

Geoff notices and shushes them while I point to my daughter in my arms. "Guys, please be quiet, she's sleeping," I tell them, which immediately makes them quiet down. I smile at them thankfully but then immediately feel Skylar stir in my arms.

"No, I'm not." She says sleepily, looking up at our surroundings and rubbing her eyes.

"Okay, no she's not." The girls laugh as she turns her head to look at me and snuggles her head on my shoulder again.

"Sky, I'm gonna put you down for a few minutes, okay? I'm sorry, baby girl." I tell her as I kneel down so she can get down easily, but she won't move her arms from my neck.

"No!" She whines, still not letting go.

"Sky, come here, you can lay on my shoulder," Geoff tells her as he opens his arms and squats down.

Skylar looks at me before looking over at Geoff, shaking her head. "No, I want Daddy." She tells him, making me sigh in frustration.

"Okay, Sky. You can hold Daddy's hand, but don't let go, okay?" I tell her as I squat down in front of her and zip up her coat.

She quickly nods her head and grabs my hand before squeezing it as tight as she can, which isn't very much, but it's cute and makes me smile.

"Okay, guys. Have your phones out and I'll come around." I tell the fans as I get up and walk with Sky over to them.

As I get to the first person, Skylar pulls on my sleeve. I look down at her and she motions for me to bend down, so I do. She cups her hand around my ear and whispers, "Do I get to be in the pictures?" I laugh before shaking my head at her.

"No, I'm sorry, honey. I don't want you in the pictures." Her hopeful face falls into a pout, making my heart sink.

"It's not that I don't want your beautiful face in the picture, I just don't want strangers having those pictures because then we won't get to see them," I tell her, making her look up at me curiously.

"So they will have them and we won't? That's not fair!" She shouts, scrunching her eyebrows at the crowd and observing all of the people. Her cheeks are red from the cold, despite being bundled up in three layers. Her long dark curls are in her face and her long dark lashes are very evident due to her pale skin.

She's so cute, she makes my heart melt. We made that little bundle of sunshine.

"Right? That's why you don't wanna be in the pictures." I tell her, pushing the hair out of her face and standing up, grabbing her tiny chubby hand and taking it in mine.

She doesn't answer me, she's too enthralled by all of the different screaming girls who are waiting to get a picture with me. She's still too young to understand, but I love how hard she thinks about it.

As I go to finish taking what looks like the last picture, I carefully tug Skylar along but I don't notice when a girl turns around and starts walking backwards, right into my tiny little bundle, until it's too late. The girl begins to fall upon impact, making me quickly panic. I immediately pick my daughter up from the ground and lift her up into my arms before the girl can fall on top of her.

I look at Sky's face, anticipating tears, but they never come. She just looks at me with wide eyes before looking back at the girl curiously. I push her curls out of her face and lightly trace her cheek with my thumb. "You okay, baby?" I ask her, gaining her attention once again.

She nods her head at me before turning back towards the girl, who is regaining her composure and picking up the items she had dropped. Geoff walks over to us and puts a hand on Sky's back, looking at us concernedly.

"Is she okay? That was a close one." He says with a light laugh, making me laugh too.

"Yeah, Sky's tough, right baby?" She immediately looks back at me with a smile and vigorously nods her head.

"Uncle Geoff, that girl just fell and she made me fall and I was on the ground and she was falling more to crush me but just...she didn't because I'm okay!" Skylar rambles, making very little sense, as Geoff and I exchange amused glances.

Skylar's ramble is cut short, however, when someone interrupts her. "I am so sorry! I didn't even see her she's so small!" The same girl who ran into my daughter looks at me frantically. I nod my head reassuringly with a small smile as I hug my daughter closer to my chest protectively.

Before I can respond to the girl, Skylar puts one of her tiny hands on the girl's arm and quietly tells her, "it's okay, it's okay! I'm fine, see?" She continues to rub her arm comfortingly, making the girl melt from her cuteness.

"She's so adorable, oh my god." Someone says from beside us, making me nod in agreement.

"Good job, Sky. But we have to go or else we'll be even more late to see mummy!" I whisper in her ear, making her eyes widen and an excited smile form on her face.

"Mummy! Let's go, but I want you to carry me." Geoff and I laugh as Jake and Andrew tell the fans that we're leaving and pictures are over.

"Don't tell Mum about this, okay?" I tell Sky, making her giggle.

"Daddy, you know that she already knows!" Just as the words leave her mouth, a feel a vibration from my phone in my pocket. I pull it out with my free hand to see that I got a text message from Y/N, and just as Skylar had said, she already knows what happened. I can never get away with anything. Especially with these two.
