Mood Lifters

We all have those days when we just want to stay in bed and sleep all day, but Unfortunately that leads to being more depressed in the long run so there needs to be some way to lift your mood and feel happy, even if it's just for that day, hour or minute. Some things I've done that can lift your mood are:


Going for a run or jog or walk - when you exercise your body releases endorphins and serotonin which ultimately are happy hormones which will bring your mood up even just for the period in which you are taking part in it, and you never know you might meet someone new while you're out and about.



Listen to some loud, bouncy and happy music - play loud danceable music in your room or just through you're headphones, you will be itching to get up and dance along in no time.


Go shopping -sometimes a bit of retail therapy can be good for you, you can try on all the outfits and think how good you'll look in them when you go out somewhere


Plan to go out with friends for a special evening or trip - try to have something in every week that you can look forward to so every time you want to give up then you can think about how little time there is until you can go out and have some fun. Try to make it every week or two though because two or three months isn't really a short enough amount of time to be getting excited about and it's a long time to be waiting.
