It turns out seeing Lorenzo again was going to be harder than I initially thought. It's now almost the end of my shift on Thursday, and if I don't see him today then It'll take until my next shift on Monday for me to hopefully be able to see him one last time before he leaves.

For all I know, he could have left already. I don't know how long he was planning on staying for, but what I do know is I don't want his impression of me to be that awkward first meeting.

Deep in my thoughts, the sudden tap on my shoulder makes me jump and turn around in freight.

When I turn, with my hand on my heart, of course the face I see is Lorenzo's.

He only sees me when I'm embarrassing myself I presume.

He smiles and laughs a little before he says, "I'm sorry, did I scare you?"

I smile bashfully, "Yeah a little, but it's alright."

There's a moment of time when he's just staring at me before I look down in shyness and ask,

"Did you need something?"

As if he suddenly remembers what he was there to ask me, he says, "Oh right! I'm gonna be staying in town for a week or so and I need someone to show me around. Marco told me that you would be a great tour guide so would you mind?"

Well I wasn't expecting that. Would this be like a...date? No, don't jump to conclusion. You literally know nothing about this person Bailee. Okay, answer calmly.

"Sure!"

Fuck. CALMLY!

"I mean, what time? And when would this be? I'm a busy girl." I laugh, trying to make a joke.

That was a dumb joke.

He laughs a little anyway.

"How about tomorrow around 4? I can pick you up at your house if you want?" He suggests sweetly.

Definitely not.

"Well I actually have this tradition with my best friend every Friday. How about Saturday at 4, and we meet here instead?"

Smiling he responds, "Yeah that sounds great. I'll see you then. I'm looking forward to it."

With that said, he left leaving me to wonder what exactly he was looking forward to.

"Bailee he said he's looking FORWARD to it! That has to mean it's a date!"

It's now Friday, and I'm telling Josh all about Marcos hot Grandson while we eat pizza in my bedroom.

"I don't know Josh. I think he meant he's looking forward to me showing him around the city."

Josh looks at me with a straight face and says, "Its a date."

I huff, "I hope it is but I literally know nothing about him. Plus, I'm positive he's older than me. My mom would kill me if she found out."

"Then you don't tell her." Josh says as it's the most obvious thing in the world.

"We're getting ahead of ourselves. It's not even a date." I say trying to end the conversation.

All of a sudden, we hear a knock at my door.

"Come in mom." I scream so she can hear me.

Surprisingly the person who enters my room is not my mother. Its Ash.

I look at him confused "Uh, hey Ash."

He smiles, "Hey Bailee, I just wanted to let you know that you should maybe leave your door open when a boy is over. Your mom wouldn't like it."

Before I can correct his assumption, Josh interjects himself into the conversation.

"Sir, I'm actually gay." He says very straightforwardly

Ash looks surprised, but before he can respond I ask, "Where is my mom? Why isn't she the one telling me this? She knows Josh is gay."

Ash responds simply, "She's in her office working. I saw Josh enter your room and I didn't know he was gay, so I was just making sure."

What I wanted to say so badly was "But you're not my dad. You have no right to tell me what and what not to do."

Instead I reply with a simple, "Okay." And left it at that.

With nothing left to say, Ash just walks out the door with a wave and closes it behind him.

Josh and I were both quiet for a few seconds, before Josh says, "Well, it's nice of him to care I guess. My father wants me to be having sex with girls so at least he cares about your purity."

"Yeah...he's not my father though." I reply in slight anger.

"I know, but it's good to have someone who cares in your life." He replies sincerely

I sigh, "I guess you're right..."

"Anyway," Josh says loudly "what are you gonna wear tomorrow for your big date?" Josh asks excitedly with a big smile.

"It's not a date!" I reply semi seriously, throwing a pillow at Josh's head.

But wait... what AM I gonna wear tomorrow?! Shit, I should have thought about this hours ago! I hope he isn't expecting some fancy ass tour. I guess I'll just dress like myself... I hope that's good enough.
