Chapter 1: Still alive

(Just a heads up this takes place a few years before was born korra and this first part takes place in republic city)

(Dredge pov)

Dredge now a full adult living in republic city with his lovely wife June the huntress. June was holding there most recent baby rivin who while adopted Is still there loving child. The two other children Kai the eldest son, and Kenna the middle child daughter. They where both sitting in front of dredges chair while he tells stories of his adventures with the avatar.

Dredge: when I was a young man I fought beside avatar Aang and firelord Zuko we had to destroy our biggest threat at the time y/n or as the public most known him the shredder with his army of cybermen and firelord ozai's army of firebenders it seemed as though the fire nation would have won the war

Kai: what happened next daddy?

Dredge: on the day sozins comet I battled with y/n it took me everything I had and it was the hardest fight of my life but through my training that iron taught me and zuko I was able to defeat y/n

Kenna: mommy what wee you doing during all of this?

Handles: i and your mother had snuck into the fire nations palace and caused all of the cybermen to get the souls back and panic and destroyed all of the cybermen.

Kenna: really? Wow you and daddy are amazing mommy

June: awww thank you

Kai: what happened to the shredder after you fought him?

Dredge: He was sentenced to be cremated alive and after azula's trial she disappeared without a trace. To this day there is no sign of her but we do not need to worry we are safe here in republic city

Kai/Kanna: okay daddy

June: okay bedtime you two.

Kanna: Awww five more minutes...

Kai: dad can we please stay up longer dad?

Dredge: you two better listen to you mother

Kai: okayyyyyyy

They then get up and walk into there rooms and fall asleep and June puts the baby in the crib and sleep with dredge I'm there bed.

(Time skip)

(Azula pov)

Azula was training Karai in lightning bending with Karai flawlessly summoning a bolt each time and hitting the targets with ease.

Azula: your training very well today.

Karai: thank you mother.

Kari then finished up her training and went to work on more foot androids and then went to eat dinner with her mother. Azula and Karai have a fairly good relationship with each other since they spend most of there time with Econ other but for some reason when they where at the dinner table they spoke very little only having small conversations with each other.

After they finished Karai and Azula went into there separate bedrooms and before Karai went to sleep she did her usual 50-push-ups 50 sit-ups 50 back crunches and 50 t-bar kicks.

She then took her shower and then slept in her bed peacefully

Five figures had crept into Karai's room and grabbed her and knocked her out cold and pulled her out from her quarters and tied her up. They then took her out of her room and did the same to Azula while she was sleeping and moved both of them into a different room. After a few more minutes they both woke up and were shocked to find that there captures where In fact there own cybermen and foot androids that they built. One android walked over and removed the piece of fabric from Karai's mouth.
