Spideypool AU
Halloween was just around the corner and holiday cheer was everywhere: people had stickers in their shop windows, fall wreathes were hung on almost every door, and the people of Manhattan simply seemed to be in a better mood. Well, everyone but JJ. He was still preaching on the tv about what a menace to society Spider-Woman was. But Pidge simply ignored it as she shot another web and swung past the giant screen where he was reporting the news.
She gracefully landed on a small roof top and took a moment to appreciate the view. Eventually, she sat on the ledge and continued to let her mind wonder. She thought about school (the science club especially), her homework that was due Monday, and the warm covers that awaited her at home. It was freezing cold, even for October in New York.
But, she was brought out of her thoughts all too soon by her spider-senses. Someone was there. She mentally prepared herself for a battle with another super villain before she turned around to find no one there.
That doesn't make sense... my spider-senses are never wrong...
To her surprise and curiosity, she heard giggling coming from behind a vent on the rooftop and saw something red poke out from behind it. She shot a web and pulled hard only to have the most annoying person in the world- scratch that: universe- land at her feet.
"Deadpool..." she groaned as she slumped over in disappointment, "what are you doing here?"
"What are YOU doing here?" He propped up his chin on his hand and Katie swore she could see his flirtatious smirk from under his mask.
"I'm on patrol, Lance."
"Oh... well, that sounds boring."
As much as Pidge hated to agree with him, it had been a pretty uneventful evening: the only crime she had stopped so far was a petty bicycle theft.
Lance rolled over and spread out, staring up at the bright orange sky. "Are you hungry? Cause I could go for a chimichanga from that one place on the 42nd street right about now."
(As you can tell, I know nothing about New York.)
It wasn't until then that Pidge realized she hadn't eaten since breakfast this morning. "You know what? I actually am kinda hungry. Let's go," she said as she grabbed his hand and helped him up. However, instead of him getting up, she fell down. On top of him. Their faces were mere centimeters apart and after a few moments Pidge noticed he was moving closer. And the weirdest part about it was that she was letting him.
Normally, she would've shoved him away and acted like nothing had happened. But for some reason, she didn't mind this time. Their noses were brushing now and Lance's hand had made its way to her lower back, pulling her closer.
WEEWOO WEEWOO
The sound of police sirens zooming by made Pidge sit straight up despite Lance's obvious protest. He wined loudly and moved both his hands to her sides. Without taking her eyes off the long line of cars, she lifted her mask just enough to reveal her mouth, pecked him on the cheek, and ripped his hands off of her as she shot one of her webs into the air and swung in the direction of the cars.
"Later, DP!"
Lance felt an awestruck smile creep onto his face and felt the place on his mask where she'd kissed him.
"See ya, Spidey."

Sorry that was so short. I don't really have an excuse I just couldn't think of anything else to add without completely starting from scratch. However... I may or may not have gotten an idea for a full length story with this au. I mean if I do write it, it probably won't come out for awhile.
But still.
