I opened the window of Luna's orange Mitsubishi Mirage and stuck my hand out, letting it move with the wind. I loved driving with Luna, she always knew where to go to make me happy and what music to play to reflect my mood. Luna was an angel, the purest of them all. She'd only been my best friend for about a year, but it felt like I'd known her all my life. I turned towards her and watched her pink curls blow around her face from the wind of my open window. A smile split her concentrated face as she noticed my gaze.
"What?" She asked, smiling.
"Your hair looks so good. Why didn't you tell me you were changing it again? You know how much I like to be there."
"Oh, I'm sorry Will, it was a quick decision and I knew you were studying hard. Besides, if you knew I was going pink you would've protested against it." She smiled again. "You know, because the colour is too young and too feminine for the likes of me." She used a forced, 'posh' accent to quote me from a previous conversation we had had about hair colour.
"Wow okay, attack me like that." I said, both hands raised defensively to my chest. Luna laughed.
"I promise you can come with me in about 3 months for the next colour." I nodded my approval. She moved her right hand from the steering wheel and up to her face to pull a stray curl out of her eyes and behind her ear. I reached my hand over and pulled a thick, pink curl down till it was straight and then let it go, letting it spring back into place. Luna's hair was so fun to play with, I wish I had curls like hers. Sure, I had waves, but Luna's ringlets were gorgeous and always looked amazing no matter situation.
"Want to check on Jonah on the way?" Luna asked. "Maybe he's written a new song about you." I rolled my eyes at her. Jonah had been writing love songs that could only be for a someone real. They were so beautiful and full of meaning that the feelings had to be true and current. Jonah wouldn't tell any of us who his someone was so, being the only one of the Troubled Trois who was supposedly 'his type', Luna and Seb decided that it must be me. Jonah went along with this idea of course, because he's an idiot.
"Oh yes, let's do that. I can swoon over his magical melodies once more." I turned and glared at Luna. The eye contact sent us both into wild hysterics.
"Eyes on the road please Moony! Not the day to die."
"Sorry, sorry." Luna tightened her grip on the steering wheel and clamped her mouth shut, trying to stifle her laughter.
