"Sammy, time for breakfast baby." Jack called up to her from the kitchen. Jack had just flipped a piece of bacon next to some scrambled eggs and some toast. Samantha came toddling down the stairs in her pretty red dress and her white stockings, her hair was braided back in a french braid with a white bow tying it at the bottom. Her shining blue eyes glittered as she giggled and scurried over to her seat at the table. Jack smiled as he set her plate of food in front of her and kissed her on the head before returning over to grab my plate.

"Baby would you like some orange juice?" Jack asked and Sammy just nodded frantically. Jack smiled again before grabbing two glasses from he cupboard and retrieving the OJ from the fridge. Sammy grabbed her glass and held it out from him to pour OJ into.

"Go sit at the table and I'll pour the juice." Sammy scurried back into her chair and held her glass with her tiny hands, waiting for her daddy to pour out her juice. Jack giggled as she awed when he poured in the juice in her glass and she began to gulp it thirstily.

"Sammy, don't drink so fast baby, you'll get a tummy ache." Sammy looked at me with curious tones etched into her eyes. She let out a little whine and looked at her now half full glass.

"Daddy, if I get a tummy ache can I stay home from school?" Slowly Jack's heart broke a little. Sammy had no friends and her anxiety prevented her from making any. She had no reason (in her mind) that she had to go to school. Jack knelt next to her grasping her tiny hands in his. She looked at me hopeful but he knew that what he had to say was for the best.

"Sammy you'll still have to go to school. But if you do good today we can drive down to uncle Dan's house." Sammy perked in interest and determination. She nodded at me and turned in her seat to eat breakfast. She practically inhaled her food then ran to the door to grab her cute Dorthy ruby shoes. The Wizard of Oz was her favorite movie to date. So for her fourth birthday Jack had gotten her the same shoes from the movie and she absolutely adored them. By the time Jack was finished with his breakfast Sammy had her shoes on and had her Wizard of Oz themed pack swung over her shoulder.

"Come on daddy, we don't want to miss the bus," Sammy squealed before swinging open the door and practically ran out the door and out to the driveway. Jack had to hurry to put on his shoes and grab his jacket before rushing out himself. Sammy was already partially down the street running to get to her bus stop. But Jack was quite faster. So with his abilities her sprinted after her and as he neared her Jack scooped little Samantha into his arms. She giggled as her daddy carried her bridal style as they hurried down the street to her bus. Jack and Sammy were both the first to arrive at the stop, which they usually were, but not for long as one of the other parents and her two kids pulled up next to them. The girl had maple brown eyes with hair to match, she was wearing her sweats with a white tank top with a mug of coffee on the front. The woman greeted Jack with a smile then waved at Samantha who had buried herself into Jack's jacket.

"Good morning Jack, Sammy, seems you have beat us once again." The woman, Sarah, smiled. Jack nodded and looked down at her little boys. They both had blondish hair with maple brown eyes and cute freckles kissing their cheeks.

"Good morning boys," the two boys waved nicely and looked up at Sammy. The one of the left, James, gave her a curious glance. But smiled and pulled a card from his pocket. It was covered in batman stickers and had a piece of tape that protected it from opening. James reached up and poked Sammy on her leg to get her attention. Sammy pulled away for a second to look at James. He held up his card for Sammy to see and she peeked out in interest. James handed the card to Samantha and she shyly took it from him. She quickly peeled back the tape and opened the card. She slowly began to read the card out loud.

" You.... Are.... Needed.... At.... Jame's.... Party.... Please.... At-" Sammy stared at the card trying to figure out the word on the card.

"Sound it out baby girl," Jack supported her as he looked down at the card.
