"Bye Sammy," Jack waved Sammy off to school as the bus took her away. His hair was ruffled from rolling out of bed. Jack didn't bother brushing it or even showering this morning. Mark had ruffled his feathers the other day and yet he still had the nerve to try to contact him. It started with Facebook, then Instagram, and when Jack had finally had enough he finally answered him. Mark apologized for the other day but Jack was still too hot headed to forgive him.

Jack stood out on the road in his bathrobe on and some sweatpants waving as his little girl's bus started it's way to school. He watched as the bus disappeared from his sight and he was still there; even if all the other parents had gone Jack was still there watching the street. It took Jack minutes before he felt the rocks dig into his bare feet and he realized that he had to get ready for work. Jack began to walk back when he felt his phone ringing. When he looked to see who was calling he recognized the caller I.D. Mark's face showed up while a funny ringtone played. Jack considered just to ignore him but thought better of it; he swiped up on the receive call button and put the phone to his ear.

"Hello?"

"Jack!!" Jack had to pull the phone away from his ear because of Mark's volume booming though the phone. Agitated Jack grumbled before putting the phone back up the his ear.

"What is it Mark?" Jack growled into the phone. Jack kept walking toward his house baring all the rocks going into his foot as he did.

"Where are you right now?" Mark asked in almost a whisper. Jack made an irritated face as he neared his house.

"About to walk up to my-" Jack stopped in his tracks and dropped his phone. His eyes widened in surprise while his hand covered his mouth. Mark stood at his door with a red leash in hand. A golden dog attached to the leash sat down looking at Jack with a cute bouncing of their tongue. Mark smiled as he spotted Jack's expressions as he walked the dog over to Jack.

"What the-"

"Surprise!" Mark smiled as Jack knelt to pat the dog on the head; and the dog licked his hand in return. The dog had a pink collar with a white bow on the side, her fur was properly groomed so it shined in the early sunshine. Her golden fur was recently cut and her nails trimmed. Jack patted the dog again until he noticed the vest around her torso the said "service animal." Jack looked up at Mark who just looked down at Jack patiently with a smile. His heart raced as he looked at the dog almost in confusion.

"How the hell did you find me?" Mark shrugged as he pulled out his phone.

"I'm friends with Phil too," Mark winked as he slid his phone back into his pocket and looked at Jack, smiling.

"Is this yours?" Mark smirked as he cocked his head slightly; he dog licked Jack's chin as he looked up at him. Jack's ocean eyes stared up at Mark as he awaited his answer but none came. Instead Mark grabbed the dog's tags on her collar and flipped it over.

Jack nearly fell over in tears as he looked back at Mark. His baby girl just got her dog that Phil had suggested on getting. However, Jack didn't know if he could take care of a dog. His bills on top of Samantha's education was a little much as it was. Jack looked down, angry at the fact that he knew he couldn't take the dog; but he so desperately wanted to.

"Mark, I don't know-" Mark interrupted Jack with his finger. When Jack was quiet Mark helped to pull him to his feet so he could make correct eye contact.

"Jack it's all taken care of. The dog is registered and I've payed for a few bag of food to get you started. Sammy could really use this dog," Mark smiled as he patted the dog on the head. Jack just shook his head in surprise at Mark. Jack knew that a few years ago the last thing that Mark had told Jack was that he wanted to be there for his little girl. Mark was doing a swell job at proving himself to be a loving father to his daughter.
