It was pretty late for little Kayla to be awake so she started yawning. Her mother, Demi, smiled and then looked at her husband, telling him with her eyes that he should take her to bed. Wilmer immediately took the hint.
“Kayla, baby, what about we going to bed, hm?”
Kayla yawned once again but raised both her arms in the air so her daddy could pick her up. And that´s what Wilmer did.
“Give mommy a good night kiss” He said, holding the four year old close to Demi. Kayla pressed her lips against Demi´s cheek and left there a kiss.
“Night, momma” Kayla said, giving her mother a sweet smile.
“Good night, my little angel”
“And now a kiss for your future brother?” Wilmer added. Kayla bent down in Wilmer´s arms and kissed Demi´s bump. “Good night, brother” Kayla whispered against her mother´s belly.
Wilmer took Kayla upstairs. He brushed her teeth, combed her brown and wavy hair, helped her to put on her Hello kitty pajamas and then finally tucked her into her princess bed.
Kayla handed her dad a book which he gladly took in his hands and started reading it for her.
What Kayla and Wilmer didn´t know was that Demi was looking at them from the doorstep with a smile on her lips, her hand placed on her bump, rubbing it and happiness was written all over her face.
She was finally completely happy. She had the best husband ever, who loved her no matter what. She had the sweetest little daughter and was about to have a second child… Happiness was all she could feel.
