She looked herself in the large mirror. If someone would have told her ten years ago, when she was 16 years old and didn't really believe that one day she would be about to marry, she would've laughed and said it must me a joke.
But there she was, staring at her own reflection in that mirror. The long white dress hugged her body in all the right places. Brown wavy locks fell down her shoulders. A little bit of make up kissed her face since Wilmer always said he loved her the most when she looked natural.
"Mom?" Demi turned around to see her mother with tears in her eyes. "Yes, honey?"
"I'm nervous" Demi mumbled, turning back again.
"That's completely normal, sweetie" Dianna said, smiling at her daughter's reflection in the mirror.
"Mom... I don't know if I want to do this..." She murmured.
Dianna laughed, knowing thay nervousness was talking and not Demi herseld.
Dianna knew that Demi and Wilmer were meant to be together. They had been born for each other. Of course, the age gap had been something her and Eddie worried about at first but, as the time passed by, they realized what kind of guy Wilmer was. He was perfect for their daughter.
"Of course you want to, baby... You're just a little bit nervous, that's all" Dianna spoke. Demi faced her. "You sure?"
"Absolutely" Dianna smiled at the gorgeous young woman in front of her. "You love Wilmer, don't you?"
"I truly do." A smile popped on her lips as she thought about him and about soon, she would be able to call him her husband.
She remembered the first time her eyes met his, the first time he had touched her hand, the first time they kissed, the first time they made love... And all those moments had been wonderful. Perfect.
He had alwasy been there for her. He didn't walk away, he didn't give up on her. He loved her unconditionally. He loved her no matter what.
And then she realized this was right. They deserved this.
She smiled even bigger.
"You're right, mom" Demi hugged Diannam "I love him so much" She mumbled as her mom gave her a wsrm hug.

While walking towards the altar, next to Eddie, she found herself fighting the tears away. She didn't want to ruin her make up.
Wilmer was standing there and he could not help the tears from falling down his face. He wiped them away. He stared at her while a smile appeared on his lips.
To him, she was the most beautiful woman. She was perfect. He loved everything about her and, since the first time he had seen her, he knew she was special. And then he realized it wouldn't be easy. And it wasn't easy yet he loved her so he fought for her.
And now here was his award. Finally getting married to the woman of his life.
He couldn't believe that, after being an asshole for years, he now had this amazing woman. He still couldn't believe that he could call her his.
Yes, he had changed. For her. Just for her because, for her, he would do anything.
He saw her coming closer and closer, wearing that white dress and that beautiful smile he had loved ever since the first moment.
And, suddenly, she was in front of him. Eddie gently patted his shoulder and left after smiling at them.
Demi and Wilmer locked eyes for a few seconds before looking at the priest who married them.
"You can kiss the bride" The priest eventually said.
Wilmer smiled and pressed his lips against hers, slowly kissing her, letting her know how much he loved her.
Finally, they were married and ready to create their own family.
