Nico took a deep breath, steadying himself against the door of his room. After what had ocurred with Atalia, he wasn't sure he would be able to stay there without looking suspicious. Besides, the boy had been craving some peace and quiet.

He was completely sure that for the next week, his life was going to be complete hell. The bride had somehow been chosen, but he didn't remember doing so. He couldn't remember much of anything, only blurry images of what had been the ball. He couldn't remember if he even danced.

Wait, did he even meet the brides?

Why couldn't he remember that well?

Nico shrugged off his top, throwing it deep into his closet where he never wanted to see it again. Threading his fingers through his long hair, he made it messy, trying to get it out of place. He was so confused, and dazed. The bride had been chosen, but he couldn't remember picking one. The outcome of his choice had been Princess Atalia.

Picking out comfortable clothes, Nico changed into black sweatpants and a loose white shirt. He didn't want to deal with anybody right now, he just wanted to be alone, and sleep in his comfortable bed-

"Boo!"

"Shit!" Nico turned around, causing his toe to bump against the corner of his bed frame. He yelped and hopped on one foot, grabbing his thumb in pain.

Will giggled, his blue eyes glowing in the dark. "I'm sorry."

Well, maybe he didn't mind having some company.

Nico rolled his eyes, letting Will walk over and pull him into his arms. He shoved his face in the curve of Will's neck, breathing in the warm scent. Will hummed, stroking Nico's messy raven locks. "You okay there?"

Nico shook his head no, hugging Will closer to his cold body. He didn't want to let go, and he was scared. He was scared of Princess Atalia, and he couldn't remember anything. That was the scariest part.

"Shoot, did you hit yourself that hard?" Will asked, suddenly tensed.

"No! It's... Will I don't remember," Nico sighed loudly, resting his body against the older's. Will took his face into his big hands, making Nico's cheeks squish together into a pouty face.

"You don't remember why you're not okay?" Will chuckled, giving Nico a peck on his puckered lips. Nico shook his head, removing Will's hands from his face.

"No, Will, I literally don't remember anything! I can't remember what I did in the party after I went to ... Oh."

"What happened?" Will widened his eyes in concern, sitting down on Nico's bed.

"I.... I don't think it's a good idea telling you, because I feel like we're being watched."

"Nico, baby, I would be able to tell if someone was here, trust me," Will softly reassured him, giving Nico a sense of security.

So Nico told him everything he remembered. From meeting all the brides to feeling like he's being controlled by one of them. He told him about his dance with Princess Atalia and how she had brought him to the back of the castle. How she grew fangs and her eyes smoldered into a different color. He only told him the bits he remembered, he couldn't remember everything.

"Apparently, I've already chosen her as my bride," Nico sighed, putting his face in between his hands. He couldn't believe this was his fate now, to be married to some kind of witch.

Will swiped his thumb underneath Nico's eye, wiping away a tear that Nico hadn't noticed had fallen. "Tell you what, let's give it a week, okay? If things go horribe in a week, I have a plan."

Nico sniffled, looking up at Will. "What's your plan?"

Will gave him a smirk, reaching over to Nico so he could whisper the pretty secret into his ear.
