I hate my skin, like what the fuck skin, I can't even, why skin? Why to me skin?

     -----------------

Will winked at him suggestively, eyeing him up and down. In his ceremonial clothing, and his attractive appearance, Will looked exceptionally charming.

Thankfully, vampires did not have a scent like werewolves did. Al thought Will's blood was warm, his skin did not emit anything out of the ordinary that didn't smell normal to everyone else. He just ... didn't smell like a wolf. But in a crowd this big, nobody seemed to notice.

Nico gulped with wide eyes, before taking a step backwards and hiding his face is his hands out of sheer embarrassment. He peeked once through his fingers, but the boy seemed to simply have vanished from where he last was.

What?

Nico looked around the big room, flitting his eyes everywhere and searching for a mop of blonde hair.

How did he manage to move so quickly?

Nico made sure to search every corner of the room, only being able to catch Atalia's eyes, which made her smile at him expectantly, as if still waiting for her drink. He awkwardly smiled back, turning to walk ahead to the refreshments he had promised. After all, he couldn't just be discourteous to the princess, or also his possibly future bride, unfortunately.

It wasn't as simple as he had thought out. As soon as he turned on his heel, he was met with the same startling azure eyes he had been searching for before. Only that know they were regarding Nico in such way that made him want to look away. He settled for observing his lips for a bit, just noticing how plump they looked today before deciding that he would regard Will in the eye.

"Wi-Will!" Nico finally formed out. Then he began to rant out. "What is your problem? Aren't you even slightly scared of getting caught!? I-"

"Relax, lovely, I swear I'm being careful," Will gave him a lopsided grin, tucking a stray fair strand of hair behind his ear before settling his arm to be draped around Nico's shoulder. "What about you? Getting used to having a fiancé yet?"

Nico wanted to blush at the nickname so badly but even his blood didn't have time. He scowled at Will and took him by the arm, guiding him away from the crowd to a more conserved place. Once he made sure they were alone, he faced the boy. "Care to explain your presence, Solace?"

Will rolled his eyes slightly. "Just came here to see you, duh. Making sure you weren't doing something to get yourself in trouble like you always do."

Nico stared at him with a shocked expression on his face, shaking his head faintly. "I get myself in trouble? Says the guy who took the time to sneak inside enemy lands..." he murmured in a low voice, making sure nobody was listening to their conversation. "Tell me the real reason you're here, Will."

"You see, darling-," he said, still in a playful tone.

"Will."

Will finally adapted a serious expression, rubbing the back of his neck. "I jus-I just wanted to make sure you were alright, I know how much you must hate doing something like this. . ." Will's eyes drifted off, not having the courage to look at Nico yet. Nico softened his expression, feeling a warm tenderness in his chest from having somebody actually care about his feelings.

Reaching both hands to settle at Will's broad shoulders and leaning his face in closer than before, he said in a soft voice, "Thanks for doing that, but still..."

Will just gave the pouting boy in front of him a small peck on the corner of his mouth. "Stop being cute, or I'll combust." Nico simply gave him a small dimpled grin.

"Also, I wanted to talk to you about..uhh....something. You see, one of my friends is actually willing..umm .. to help us.. escape?" Will examined at him with an expectant and scared look in his eyes, while Nico just stared at the blonde with his mouth hanging open.

"What do you mean 'escape'?" Nico gave him a questioning glance, viewing the boy up and down as if making sure he wasn't kidding. Escape from where? From here? From his father, or plainly from the party?

"Nico!" An unanticipated voice called from around the corner, a voice that sounded a lot like the princess he had forgot he left waiting.

"Shit! Will, go-" but when the raven turned his attention back to the previous spot the blonde had been in, he was gone.

A carefully manicured hand was suddenly resting at his shoulders. Slowly rotating his head around, he was met with Atalia's face, who was giving him a warm smile, but a cold stare. And once again, Nico was caught in her dreamy gaze and wasn't able to refuse what she wanted.

Hi! Sorry for procrastinating on the story, but I was waiting until I got an actual laptop so that it would be simpler to type. I apologize for this short chapter, but I will probably update more consistently now that I own a computer.
