Reflection IX - The Day My Heart Died

On that one fateful Thursday, when I've thought everything was okay,

You've  greeted me and said 'I love You', in a very special way.

I should have known better, cause I didn't know what was waiting for me,

I was caught off guard, when I found out how unfair sometimes Cupid could be.

Nothing, really. It's just that I found out

Honesty, Loyalty and Commitment were something you cannot give, without a doubt.

Even until now I cannot write, how foolish of me to give you my trust,

But still I've forgiven you 'coz I love you that much.

You said you were terribly sorry, and that you love me still

Little did I know that for you, everything's just a game.

Was I that silly enough to believe your sugar coated words?

Now I finally know why they called me harebrained.

I can't tell exactly what happened on that day

For I don't want to relive the embarassment, I've thought I was the only.

The sad thing is that I know I can't even compete

What can I do? She's your first love, you were the first one to meet.

And so on that Thursday, my misery began

Promises, joys and laughter, everything was gone.

I've thought we'll be going smoothly, I didn't know everything was just a lie.

I never had the slightest hint, on that one fine day, my heart would just die...
