Reflection XII - Bargaining

A/N: The third stage is BARGAINING. This stage often goes hand in hand with denial. Bargaining can be looking for any possible way to make the relationship work through negotiation, threats, and/or magic – for example, telling your ex that you will change, or telling him he is hurting you, your friends, or his family, or your family, and even the dog by leaving. And, of course, this phase is not only limited to bargaining with your ex. Many people bargain with The Powers That Be, promising to be a better person if only the ex will come back. During this stage, you may take a new interest in astrology, tarot cards or any type of voodoo that will forecast a reunion.  And as the Author has noticed, this is also when we attempt to enlist all friends and family to “talk some sense” into him or her.

I'm so sorry if again, I won't be able to give justice to this stage. But this is all I could offer for now... For that the author is very sorry... =(

But for the Author's own opinion, Bargaining means never giving up on the relationship. No matter how hard and painful it is, but because you truly love the person, you will continue to fight just for the relationship to work out...

So here it goes....

As here I sit,

I await the next hit.

Most of you against one,

The pain has just begun.

As I lay under this unyielding sun,

I wonder how this has begun.

Surely it was all just a bit of fun?

And now there's nowhere left to run.

There is no way I can win,

And yet I've never given in.

And so the moment they relent,

That's when I begin to vent.

As I rise and talked back

"What are you doing?" they demand.

“You hate me cause I had loved him, hate me more ‘cause I still do.

If I will be sent to hell, then I would gladly go there too!”

There may be no way for me to win,

But at least I've erased their stupid grins.

I stepped back for a moment,

I see them sneer from the blow I sent.

Now I know that they'll be hell bent,

To make sure that all my blood is spent.

For sure I'm in a worse position than before,

But that's all my pride’s ever been good for.

There is no way I can win,

And yet there's no way I could ever give in.
