Day 10

  I watched them as they
Walked into the mall
Hand in hand, chirpy and
Full of things to talk,
They always wore the
Heart charms they bought together
Last year on her birthday.
Quite the talk, as usual.
I watched as they stopped
To pick up their favorite
Standard chocolate ice cream
With cookie crumbs, overloaded
Because they asked and why
Oh why would you turn them down.

I watched with lips curled
As she whispered into her ears,
Secrets only I was privy too
Up until last year,
I treasured them even now.
Tucked away safely in the deepest of
Drawers, my lips sealed forever.
I swore my loyalty to her
And she only used my weakness
To mock me, laugh, point, stare
Humiliate
Me, she humiliated me.
I walked as quickly as I could,
Toward them, toward her,
She'd ruined everything I had
And I, in a heart beat,
Took the one thing she treasured
Away from her.
I smiled into her tear filled eyes,
I laughed, pointed, stared
I did humiliate her, didn't I?
