Laxus was ready. Gajeel's heat was driving him crazy. He was beginning to take sharp breaths while Laxus undressed him. 

Part of Gajeel was regretting it. After all he is a virgin and if he did this with Laxus it would officially make them mates and he did not want that. Laxus saw something in Gajeel's eyes, an emotion, unwillingness. 

Laxus wanted to stop and ask him what was wrong but the scent drove him nuts! He just leaned down and kissed his mate, deeply. It was as if the words he could not say, manifested itself into a kiss and Gajeel melted into it.

Moans filled the room whilst the pheromones swirled in the air. Then it was silent. Why? Because an unwanted guest enter the room. Metalicana came home to get his wallet and he saw them half naked and about to get into something more. 

Gajeel yelped and Laxus just stood there as stunned as Metalicana. "I'm not going to say anything else but young man I think you need to leave, you can work on your assignment over LINE or something. Figure it out."

Metalicana left the room and Laxus fixed his uniform, grabbed his stuff and gave Gajeel a kiss goodbye.

Once Laxus left Gajeel took a pain killer and then he would have to go buy medicine for his heat the following day.

Laxus on the other hand, mind had cleared when he left the house and got some fresh air.

He knew Gajeel had locked the door but maybe that just meant Metalicana had a key for Gajeel's room. He did not want to ponder any longer, he picked up his pace so he could get home and message Gajeel about their assignment.

Gajeel was beginning to dose off. Apparently his pain killers were just sleeping pills. Right before he drifted to sleep he vaguely remember his dad holding a key for his bedroom in left his hand, which meant that his overprotective father had a key made after he specifically told him not to do it.

His subconsciousness told him he had to stay awake because he had an assignment to do but it was too late the pills were taking effect and Gajeel had passed out completely, not even fixing his clothes from his earlier happenings.

As expected when Laxus tried contacting Gajeel there was no response. He initially thought that Gajeel's dad might have taken his phone away but then he debunked it with logic. His dad was the one that suggested they finish their assignment over LINE and he would not jeopardize his son's grade.

Next he thought Gajeel was ignoring him due to embarrassment, but that too was soon debunked because he knew it would be easier to communicate over LINE even if he was a little embarrassed and Gajeel too would not purposely want a failed grade. 

Logically the only possible thing to think is that Gajeel had most likely fallen asleep.

Gajeel woke up at around 7PM and was bombarded by a numerous amount of missed calls and texts from none other than Laxus himself and one from and unknown number, which Gajeel just immediately ignored. 

He first responded to the messages from Laxus and right after they were read Laxus called him. Gajeel jumped at the loud sound of his ringtone. 

The song Tempo by EXO blasted through his speakers and his ears were super sensitive as it was already.

He picked up the call and answered with a groggy hello because his throat was dry and he needed a drink of water. 

"Sleeping beauty has finally awaken," Laxus charmingly remarked. 

"Haha very funny," was Gajeel's sarcastic response.

"Well we need to work on this assignment unless you're into failing," Laxus said and mumbling could be heard on the other end. Laxus chuckled and then Gajeel suggested that they video chat while working on the assignment.

Once the video chat was set up Laxus made a cheeky comment, "You know we could do more than just chatting."

"I will end this call," Gajeel threatened and Laxus immediately got to just working and not making anymore perverted suggestions. Actually that was a lie. The night was filled with Laxus making horrible attempts at flirting with Gajeel and Gajeel just mumbling and grunting under his breath, but at least they got their task completed.

The next morning at the Redfox residence, Gajeel expected an awkward atmosphere with an unwelcomed talk about sex and the sort but he was surprised to see that his dad was back to making breakfast and singing in the kitchen.

Gajeel was confused. His dad rarely sang, probably because he was not good at it but when he did sing it meant something.

"La la la la la! La la la la la! La la la la la la la la la! Du du du du du duuuu! Aaaaahhh!" The horrible melody could be heard exiting the Redfox residence from a million miles away, possibly causing accidents on its way out. Gajeel cover his ears immediately and his dad turned and saw him.

"Well that's rude!" Metalicana pouted but it did not look cutesy at all, just disturbing in Gajeel's opinion. 

"You seem to be in a good mood. Something happen?" Gajeel tried swerving the conversation so he would not have to hurt his feelings by saying that his dad really is a bad singer.

This got him thinking, do people who cannot sing, know they cannot and still do it for fun or are they just tone deaf?

"Since you asked, I'll tell you. A colleague is coming over for dinner tonight."

"That's great then I don't have to come home early," Gajeel said ecstatically.

"Actually that's why you have to be home early, I would also like you to meet this person."

"Ugh!" He exclaimed and took a seat, the fact that this colleague was invited and he had to be there could only be one thing. His dad was finally going to introduce him to his girlfriend. 

Honestly Gajeel was happy that his father found a partner in crime, pun intended. But Gajeel did not want this person to come into their lives and start acting like a mom. When his biological mother die he was devastated and then what he went through with his stepdad was traumatic and he did not want a repeat of anything remotely similar.

I have been off of Wattpad for too long, I didn't even know about 'Wattpad Premium' and this 'Wattpad Next Beta' thing... like when did all of this happen?
