We were currently standing in front of Blake and Kats new house, staring in awe at Stephanie's new bad boy boyfriend.

"Nice to finally meet you all, I've heard a lot about you guys." He said as he stuck his hand out.

He gave us all a firm handshake as we introduced ourselves.

"He's intense." Rebecca whispered into my ear.

Then, he knelt down in front of Max and Anna.

I absentmindedly took a protective step towards them.

"You must be Max and Anna." He said, a warm smile on his face.

He stuck his hand out to shake theirs, but they ran and hid behind me.

He chuckled as he stood.

I turned to the kids. "Hey, you guys be nice."

Billy smiled. "No worries, I'm sure they'll warm up to me after some time."

Just then, the front door opened and Blake poked her head out. "I thought I heard voices. Come on in, guys."

The kids barreled past her into the house, Rebecca close behind. "Hey, no running." She said, chasing after them.

I laughed as I followed them in.

After we were all inside, Stephanie introduced Blake, Kat, Abigail and Dana to her new boyfriend, Billy.

I took a seat on the couch next to Rebecca and observed him. "What do you think?"

Rebecca shrugged. "He seems nice enough."

Just then, Dana walked up and sat down on the chair next to us. "Hey, guys. How've you been?"

"Good." I replied.

   Rebecca nodded her agreement.

Even though Dana's been sober for years now and apologized on multiple occasions for the whole drug incident, Rebecca still seemed unsure about her.

Dana glanced at her then back to me. "Well, I'll let you guys talk." She said as she stood up and walked into the kitchen.

Blake, Kat, Stephanie and Billy were still standing by the door, chatting.

They all smiled and laughed.

"They seem to like him." I said.

   "Yeah." Was all Rebecca said.

I sighed. "I know you're still a little uncomfortable around her, but you promised you'd give her a chance."

She sighed. "I know, I'll try."

I wrapped my arm around her shoulders. "That's all I ask."

After a couple hours, the party was in full swing and everyone seemed to be having a good time, even Billy.

Hard rock blared from the speakers and everyone was either dancing or drinking, except Dana and I.

I decided to step outside for a smoke, walking out the back door, taking in the backyard as I lit my cigarette.

After a couple minutes, the slider door opened.

I turned to see Billy stepping out, a cigarette hanging from his lips.

"Mind if I join you?" He asked.

I shrugged. "Sure."

He lit his and sat on the chair next to mine.
